Growing....

Happy Birthday Emma Pooh... Look who's having her 12th birthday this week. We have done crafts since about the time she was 6 years old.
Bringing the mail up to the house. She put everything into learning to ride her bike .
Emma's a lover of pets. She has a dog, cats and chickens. But loves them on posters too.
This is Sam the dog. He and Emma are pals.
This girl loves her papaw....she is papaw's girl. They like to tell each other anytime they see a Palomino horse, "Any palomino is a pal -of-mine-o."
This is Izzy the cat. Emma's all time favorite cat.
She has already been a bride's maid.  This is at the her sister's wedding.  Emma's birthday is this week. Papaw and I will be visiting with the family tomorrow. So she will get her gifts from us then.. You all know I give people money...let them buy what they like...saves my feet and also saves money...if you grandparents know what I mean.  LOL  We are some times easy touches. :):)
Cloudy today but warmer, I'll take it. The sun yesterday melted all our snow. Starting today it's suppose to be warmer and  30 something at night. Hooray. Maybe I'll get those pansies done.  Wishing all of you a sweet Sunday.  XO

  1. She looks to be a lovely girl, how good to have her visit. Everybody should have pets, I think it makes us better people.

    1. Janet, I think some people should have fish as pets...cause they do not tend their dogs properly. LOL I tell Emma to always make sure her pets have food and water. Always. She's a sweetheart at times, just starting to be grumpy if she has to clean her room....LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  4. Happy Birthday sweet Emma! Susie, I loved all the pictures on here today, especially the one of her and grandpa. It reminded me of how close I was with my dad. There is a story that I wanted to share on Monday or Tuesday. Emma looks so cute with the cat. I can see she loves animals like you said. Your granddaughter is so precious. I'm sure she will LOVE the money you give her for her birthday. She's at that age where she can buy just what she likes with it.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, I am looking forward to your story of you and your father. My father passed away two weeks before Emma was born...I know they would have loved each other. I miss our little girl being here so much. I knew the time would come when she would be with her friends more...just wasn't ready to let go. Blessings to you, love you, xoxo,Susie

  9. Happy birthday to Emma. I have an Emma, too! She'll be 15 this August. I totally agree with giving money to the grands. Or a gift card to a favorite store. It's what they really want, so why fight it? Hugs, Nancy

    1. Hi Nancy, Thank you for the birthday wishes for Emma. She is our youngest grandchild. Since your Emma is turning 15, you know how time flies. I just give money and the grands don't drive their parents nuts to take them to any certain store. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  10. Happy birthday Emma. She is a sweetie. I have really been holding out on the money for gifts but the time has come. Too hard to get them what they really want. Our granddaughter turns 13 this week. Such sweet girls we have.

    1. Debbie, Last Christmas I asked Savannah and Emma if they wanted money for their guft like all the older ones get...they said yes...so it's money for all of them. The reason I don't get gift cards...cause they are too restrictive at times...plus you know the kids would drive their parents crazy to take them to certain store. You've seen your grandkids grow up too. We do love our children and grands. :) Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Tessa, Thank you for the birthday wishes. Emma will love reading these. I try to think of being 12...I just remember getting ready for Jr.High school then...We didn't have middle school. Feeling grown yet scare of the new adventure. I can still see our "little" Emma shine thru once in awhile , when she visits us. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  15. I missed having grandchildren mostly because I never had any children. The weather has been fine and fortunately we didn't get the snow they had predicted for Sunday. I'll be back with sports after these messages.
