Tuesday Here.....

Today turned out to be a really nice day . Partly cloudy , but wonderful sunshine.
The bus is dropping off the neighbor boy A truly sweet kid. I know as the bus came down the road it passed Josh's father combining corn.
This is his field to the left. Mike's been in it all day. He and his uncle taking the corn to the Co-op at the edge of town.
We had a breeze today that felt very nice , even though it was not hot out.
Have to show the colors of our mums. Love this orange.
This one seems to have different shade of burgundy.
This is more daisy like. I love mixing it into bouquets.
  A deep mauve color.
I like this tall grass also.  I had this is a reddish color once , but it only lived one year.
Ted and I have done a bit of running . Got our flu shots. Stocked up on some groceries. I am going to sit out on the porch now for an hour or so . Wishing all of you a great evening. XO

  2. Love all the pics but those mums are gorgeous. We're having beautiful, Fall days but surely do need rain badly. Alot of folks around here are taking up their corn and putting up Hay. It's been a good year for the Hay. Hope you have a nice, restful evening as well. xo

    1. Susie, I think there may be much rain if the hurricane gets close to land. Hopefully it will be just enough...not too much. Yes, it's been a good crop season here also. The beans and corn are ready for picking. The hay's been cut and baled, rolled. Blessings, hope you are doing well. xoxo, Susie

    1. Jenn, I like white mums but they brown when dying off and I don't like that. It's not so noticeable in the other colors. Hope you are having good weather. xoxo, Susie

  4. Your mums are so pretty; I bet they look great in bouquets. I was at a local pottery today and they had some really nice vases that your flowers would look good in. We are enjoying sitting on the porch the last week or so. There's a nice breeze here, also. I hope you have an enjoyable evening.

    1. Diane, My green thumb is waning. LOL....I have not been digging into my flowerbeds like I used to do. I like hardy plants that can make it without fussing. Hope you are safe from the approaching storm. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Blondie, The haze here is from the weather and the crop dust.:) I like to see harvesting, but try to stay away from the dust. The morning are chilly. It warming back up for a bit, hope that isn't our Indian Summer. I would like that to be in November. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Judy, Yes, you are right about small town joys. I love driving through our town and waving at others we know. We have watched the neighbor kid grow from the age of 4. He is 16 now. some times he drives to school and other times he rides the bus. I actually love seeing the bus pick him and bring him home. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Kathy, I am hoping that hurricane goes back to sea. I hate to think of the damage it will do. Praying for those in it's path. Hope you are loving some fall color there. I think your state is one of the prettiest during the fall colors. Bless you and Joe, xoxo, Susie

    1. Gert, I knew these mums would make you smile. :) I think of my farmer neighbor. He used to help his father do the farming...now he is in charge as is father past about 3 years ago. But thankfully Mike's uncle helps him plant and harvest. Oh I know what you are saying about us getting outside now. I thought I was indoors just as much this summer as last winter. The heat as bad as cold. I am praying we all have a great fall that last a long time. :) Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie

  12. Susie, you live in such a splendid area. The orange mums are so pretty, and the white ones DO look like daisies. I love the picture of the school bus. How nice to just sit out there on your porch for awhile and see the people pass by.

Thank you for the birthday wishes for Jess.

  14. Hi Susie, I love your mums. I have to buy mums because I do not have any planted in the ground. It was lovely here today (Thursday). Not too bad but I do have the A/C on for a while.

    1. I like to buy smaller mums and place in spots on the porch for decorations....then when they die off I just toss them. So I do not spend big money on them. Yes, we did turn our AC back on the past couple days too. But thankfully it isn't running as much. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
