Times Square....

This is the famous Times Square. Visual advertising over load. I never thought of people always being at Times Sq. This  triangle shaped  section of streets and intersecting streets, is crowded all the time. So it seemed whenever we went there. It was only 1/2 block from our hotel.
Do you see the roxy sign? This was a deli. It had cheesecakes that looked as if they weight 5 pounds. big cheesecakes with all kinds of yummy toppings. No, I didn't have any.
This is a nice statue of George M. Cohan.  Perfect place for him to be. Near all the theaters.
I would not ever want to drive around this area. Our tour guide told us that more people are injured or killed in traffic than any other means. I think people were walking around as if they were in Disney world, not in streets with moving traffic.

  2. Did you see those huge cookies at Roxy. I bough my sons some for a train ride to the shore during one trip to NYC. They looked so yummy but were the worst cookies ever! Not worth the calories. Wonder if the cheesecake is like that too.

    1. I think I know what you mean about the cookies tasting bad. I thought can cheesecake taste good with all the smelly meat and cheese hanging right there sharing the same air space.LOL

  3. I can't believe people drive cars through there. I would love to visit there but not live there. For some reason the small apartments and living in those big buildings really interest me. Not having to have a car would be nice as well. But I think I will stay right where I am in the country.

  9. I have never been to New York. A friend of mine used to go and he said only tourists go to times square! Maybe he meant for New Years Eve though. I'd like to go before Chtistmas and see all of the window decorations. Thanks for sharing your tripwith us.
