Clever Fellows....

This is my grandson Skylar. Some of you remember he was in a bad ATV accident. I thank all for their prayers. It truly helped. He is doing well and will be going back in  school tomorrow. This week his therapy begins also. He's a tinkering kind of boy, always fixing and modifying things. He's always been that way.
This is his neighbor boy, Markie. They work on stuff together. Skylar has helped Markie's dad with things and he has help Skylar......well they kind of all help each other in the neighborhood  burg they live in.
The boys got their head together and made this stereo system. They put it in an old cooler. I thought it would make a nice little table in a boys room. Little spots to place soda cups. The boys cut the openings and places the components into them , then they wired it all up to a battery.  They played a cd for me...so it really works.  I love seeing kids build things and repair things. I was very proud of these two fellows. That neighbor kid is one we want to keep. I hope he is around lots.
I am better than I have been in a week. I have a drs. appointment tomorrow...it's for my eye dr. LOL.. This is my yearly exam...but if my cold(allergy) (whatever this is) isn't better, I may cancel and call my med dr.  I haven't done much this week. Sorted some things, cleaned some. Rested lots.
Hope you are enjoying the last of this month of October...gee it went fast.  Let's remember our friends in Texas...keep them in your thoughts and prayers...some are being flooded.  Be good. XO

  1. You have a very clever grandson. Hope your eye is better, this is the time of year that allergies drive my eyes wild, and it's usually just one of them.

    1. Janet, This is just a yearly eye exam...nothing wrong, may get new glasses. But I have a cold of sorts...at least that is what I think it is. LOL...I only have the mommy doctor degree, as many of us have. LOL Oh yes, I have seen some major suffering with kids and allergies..The nurse said it was the dry air and the molds at this time. Janet, I hope my grandson does well once he gets back to school this week. He's been out for some time now..plus hoping the therapy helps him...he says his toes won't bend yet. They just took the pins out last week ,from his toes. I still get icky thinking of that. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  5. Our oldest son was like Skylar when he was young, always taking things apart and putting them together again. He's still that way and keeps our vehicles, appliances and all electronic devices in working order.

I'm so glad to find out that Skylar has done so well. And I hope you feel better soon, Susie!

    1. Dewena, This grandson is the Mr. Fix IT.... he has fixed things for his mom while his dad was at work. Like the lawn mower . I told his sister he may one day be fixing her car for her...so she should be nice to him. LOL. I am happy Skylar is going back to school. He's been missing his pals. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  6. So glad Skylar is better, now you need to get well. My niece likes a guy named Skylar and I never knew anyone by that name before...I thought for a minute we might be related someday!!! But it's not the same Skylar (sad face) and my niece is only 12!

    1. Gert, I am happy Skylar is going back to classes...he's been bored, I think is why he and the neighbor made this cooler stereo. I pray you do not get sick, Gert...you and Tom have been thru so much. I think when we stress we can be weaker and get sick.. Drink lots of liquids. You are in my prayers. xoxo,Susie
