In The Park ....

Saw this cute bug in the park on Monday. Not sure what it was all about.
Some trees were in their glory....some were past and some still green.
The trees have been checked out to see if they had rot or damage, this past year. Many were trimmed and some were completely taken out. Safety first.
A shot towards town. You can see the arch entrance.. I think it's always been a walkway.
The man that is head of the park work crew is a hard worker. He has done wonders in the park. They have cleaned the weeds and bramble away from the creek, that flows thru the park.
It just looks so much nicer. They have even cleaned the creek of trash. I love our park . I like to drive thru , or even park and get out to walk around. I prefer going during  the week, not as crowded .
Not much happening here....which is a plus at times. LOL.  It rained all day yesterday, still raining softly. This rain has helped knock down the pollens . Thankful for that. Wishing all of you a great day. XO

  1. What a cute bug! Raining here today too and supposed to (snow) tonight! I'm definitely not ready for that. It should melt fast, I hope. Nice fall photos. Have a wonderful Wednesday, Susie.

    1. Linda, Some times it seems way too many things are going on at once...that's why I like quiet days too. I just want to enjoy the rest of this fall and hoping that it lingers on and on...No snow till Feb would make me happy. LOL.. Hugs those grandkids for me. They are growing so quickly..I miss mine being that young. Blessings, love all of you, Susie

  4. That little bug reminds me of the show "Laugh In". Didn't they have those same flower shapes all over everything?

I am LOVING your pictures of the park. I want to be there. It is so pretty. The trees are magnificent and I can just see myself walking along that creek. You live in a beautiful little town.

    1. Kathy, that does seem like something from laugh in. There's a walking path that goes along the creek to the 4-H and the nursing home. It is fun to walk it and go visit someone at the home. I think there's only two people that my sisters and I know there any more. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  5. It's raining to beat the band here as I write this though I would never beat the band. We are blessed with many parks around here. I haven't had a chance to get out and take some fall foliage pictures. It's been rather slow to turn. There are still a good deal of green trees.

  6. Ya'll have a beautiful park Susie. We have one as well and they keep it up nicely. The colors are gorgeous around your home. They're at their peak here and I fear they all will be gone soon. The wind and rain has brought down a lot of them this week. I hope we get some more nice days before old man winter comes in. Hugs and Blessings, xo

    1. Susie, I am hoping fall will stay much longer...although the wind is stripping the trees of their leaves...it's to turn chilly this evening ...30's by in the morning. That's too cold too soon...I have turned into a whiny woman...I am not a fan of winter any more. Blessings to you and yours. Hope you are getting back to normal thru your meds and feeling good again. xoxo,Susie

  7. What a lovely park that looks like there is lots of history around it. We don't have any parks here that we can drive through-so nice for you. We've had rain last week and then heavy frost the last couple of mornings. Stay warm and enjoy the season.

I still want some nice enough days to sit out on the porch. It's been a rough year for relaxing outside. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie

  8. The little but reminds me of hippie days when everybody put daisies and such on their little bugs. Those trees are so gorgeous. Ours are still green. I can't complain about the weather. Just disappointed we haven't had a real Fall. Oh well. The quiet days are nice. I had one this past Monday. Delicious. Have a good weekend.

  9. The leaves have been gorgeous this year, Susie. Now with all the rain and wind we've been having they are falling quickly! It sure would be easy to spot that bug in a parking lot, wouldn't it?

  12. I love it when cities take care of their parks. And we sure could use someone to groom the long creek that runs through our property! So glad the rains have helped the pollen there. I think it has here too and I do love rainy October days, when there are not too many of them!

  14. That is such a pretty park, Susie. I love it when towns keep their parks cleaned and groomed. So pretty. What a cute little car. I have been telling my hubby I would like a VW convertible bug -but he is afraid of how it would be in all the snow we get here. Darn. xo Diana

    1. Sheri, I love just being in the park...especially when it's not crowded. I was hoping they would get all the brush away from the creek and they did...they also took debris out of the creek. It just looks so much nicer. Hope you are having some good weather. It's to get back to the 60-70's next week. It's been rainy and damp. Blessings, love you, Susie

    Have a great weekend!
