I spotted this chicken roost (whatever)...I am not sure what these are called. See the noel and joy signs? Candles everywhere.
This is what the Joy sign looks like when lit.
Here's an old time smoker's stand. I think men kept the pipes and tobacco in them. This one has been painted a wonderful dark red.
But.....inside there are no pipes, just a bunch of snowmen. Dressed in aprons and plaid jackets and black hats. So darn cute !
On the display mantle...lots of greenery, twinkling lights, and glittery snow flakes. A big ornate mirror with an empty frame in front of it and a pretty wreath.
Oh if only my mail were delivered to my door....I would have bought this beautiful mailbox.
These aqua colors were in the little corner kitchen area. Love those pine cone ornaments. Aqua mercury glass votive candle holders.
Here's a very tiny sled painted out in the same color , topped with some greenery and a little decorated tree. More votive candle holders and lots of dotted burlap ribbons. I am going to have to see this again.
I loved these lantern chandeliers. I think they would be perfect in a sunroom. They've been embellished with the polka dotted ribbons. I could see these changed out every holiday or season .
In the corner of the kitchen... a sweet wicker chair. Behind the chair is a burlap covered screen that can be used as a bulletin board. There's also an old school locker.
It was pretty busy at Horton's yesterday. So I will be returning this coming week and checking out things . Need a closer look at some of this. I really wish I had a place for those chandeliers and the mailbox. Hope you have enjoyed the pictures.
Wishing you a wonderful Sunday. XO
I love shops like this, are they very expensive?
ReplyDeleteJanet, Some thing are way too much and some are just right...I usually get a couple of just right things. LOL. They have a big medal directional piece it was marked $145.... I thought that was pricy. Their olive buckets are 49 dollars...which seems to be a the right price. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love everything in that place! That mailbox is just delightful. Could you place it somewhere in your yard to store garden tools, hand wipes, etc. in??
ReplyDeleteThat's a good idea Mildred. I might have to think on it. I think it would look cute to put flowers in on special days....or even little packages sticking out at Christmas. Blessings, hope you are doing well, give your hubby a hug from us. xoxo,Susie
Deletep.s. I said tools, but like garden gloves, etc.
ReplyDeletewhat a cute shop filled with so many beautiful items! Thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteSome times I go to Horton's...they seem to know who they can trust..well we are a small town too. They go out into the greenhouse and leave me browsing the store. I always look them up to pay. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

ReplyDeleteDiane, If you make some snowmen...put them in plaid. LOL. I think the ones with a lace trimmed doily were "girls" and the ones with scarves were the "boys". Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Lynne, The Horton family is wonderful. During this open house they serve refreshments. Coffee, cocoas, and muffins , brownies and cheese and crackers. All free. and they go around with trays of fudge samples....OMG too good. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie, Oh I love each and every item you shared with us-makes me want to skip Thanksgiving and go straight to decorating for Christmas....but that will wait til the 27th. If I lived near you, I think we'd keep going back to Horton's for lots of their goodies. Have a splendid day!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Noreen , it's only 44 days till Christmas...wow it's going to be here before we know it. I am thinking of decorating early for Christmas. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Missy, I was surprised when I counted the days till Christmas ...I would like more time. It fun to see all Horton's cheerful things. My daughter said she will decorate the day after Thanksgiving. We do here as well. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love all the Christmassy pics, and especially the Joy and Noel signs. The mantle is beautiful. But (whine) I'm just not ready for all that yet. My Dad would have enjoyed that smoker stand.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, I own one of those smoking stands... I do not want to paint it..it's in decent shape. I some times wish I could hire someone to do all my decorating...I usually do a lot of cleaning as I go. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat must have been so much fun, so visually rewarding. And a trip there would have sent me home ready to decorate. I already am playing Christmas music!
ReplyDeleteDewena, You made me smile, playing Christmas music. My girls used to go home after Thankdgiving dinner at Mom and Dad's and start playing their Christmas music. They know every song on the Bing Crosby album. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
