My Finds At Horton's.....

I found a few treasures at Horton's. Some will be gifts.  These honeycomb Christmas trees  , Looked sweet in some of the displays ....so I had to get a pack of three.
This is a lovely little pitcher. Trimmed in a pattern of leaves and grapes. It said J&G Meakin Sterling, Vine (must be the pattern) It is also stamped England. I may have to look this up.
I loved this small wreath of  greenery with berries...all plastic.
I could not resist the fat white chicken sitting on a red stool. It is a dish towel. It measures 30"x30".
This is the garden flag I chose.   I loved that it was a red truck with a golden retriever hanging out the window. The license plate says "Claus" Wreath on the front and a decorated tree in the back...sweet.
I laughed when I read this tea towels saying.  To funny. This will be a gift.   I enjoying talking with Mr. Horton, when I went back to the store. He has a stone with the ten commandments on it in the parking lot of his store. He said it's been posted on face book and out of 8500 hits, only 3 people didn't know where this stone was located.  It's on a site titled..."you know you are from Tipton".
Let's thank our veterans today. May they be blessed. XO

You make me think of my daughter Kathy...she sewed all the time , from age 14...she would make those stuffed ornaments for Christmas. We always loved doing things like that. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Diana, I remember our teacher used to have those kinds of decorations. I usually get my garden flags at the eath festival...but I didn't make it there this year and I am needing flags. So I bought this cute one at Horton's they didn't have any large Christmas ones. I think because they have about 6 on display at the store and I saw the same flags at the park. LOL. Hey, I didn't get a green light...I may have to look at all the stores. I should have put a little bulb in the candle in the window thing. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Sheri, I am surprised someone has tried to make the Horton's take the stone down...as it seems some people, want to wipe God from our lives. I thought the pitcher was so cute and possibly an antique...not sure about that. Blessings, love, Susie

  17. I got so carried away with looking at Horton's I forgot to comment---what a treat to have such a fabulous treasurehouse of fun stuff so close!

When you said plastic wreath with red berries, it reminded me to finish the piece on the wonderful old plastic corsages put together of pine cones and wreaths and bells (all plastic) that we wore in the fifties. They all had enough either glitter or fake snow to dandruff the lapel of your best coat for the whole season.

I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving!!
