Sunset With A Rainbow.....

I went out last evening to get a shot of this fiery sunset.
There was a rainbow , at the same time.  We had just had a brief shower.
Got to see the whole rainbow.  So much pink color in it too.
The sun was setting fast. Blazing it's way into the horizon.
Then the skies turned more pink.
I loved seeing this. It was beautiful.
The end of a really nice day. I had  brunch with ten classmates . That was an enjoyable time. Lots of laughs. One lady is still working and has about 6 months till she retires.. She said she hopes she can hold her tongue that long. We told her she may be in for an early retirement if she can't. LOL. One fellow showed up..Jim likes being with all of  us women .  Brave soul.
Ted worked in the shop on a cabinet he's making.  Later in the day we went to town for a pizza supper. There's left overs in the fridge.   Ted will be going back to the shop today, so I can go into Horton's.  Fun time.  Hope your day is a good one.  XO

  1. Wish I could meet you at Horton's! I did not go to their open house. Too much going on that day. Too much going on today too. (sigh) That sunset last night was gorgeous! I saw a glimpse of it and told my cousin, who was helping me make candy boards for my bees, "you have to get out here and see this sunset!"

    1. Cindy, I have to say, I looked for you at Horton's. Since they did not have outside venders, the store was packed at times. They had their nice coffee, cocoa and sweet treats....plus you know they pass out the free samples of fudge. I had to tell that young lady to stay away from me with that fudge. LOL. Glad you saw that beautiful sunset. Did you see the rainbow too? I looked for you Cindy...hope to see you on Dec the 5th at Horton's. xoxo,Susie

  5. Susie, I have never seen a rainbow along with the sunset, how beautiful. I'm glad you have your camera with you all the time so you can capture all these sunrises and sunsets. I saw the clouds this morning when I went to get my coffee, and they were dark fluffy clouds, but so pretty.

Have fun at Horton's today, Susie! And I hope you find some goodies for yourself.

    1. Sheri, I leave my camera out in the office..so it's handy. :):) I was surprised when I stepped out to get the sunset photo and there was a rainbow to the east. As I walked to the road I could see the entire rainbow going behind the neighbor's grain bin and barns. Blessings, love you, Susie

  6. I have to echo Sheri's comment above, I've never seen a rainbow at sunset time. What a gift to be able to see that, a painting in the sky by the Master Artist!

Have a good day today, Susie!

  11. The story of your friend hoping that she can make it to retirement made me chuckle, I think a lot of us can identify; at least, I can. It is a challenge to suffer fools, especially the older one gets.

    What gorgeous skies!

  12. Gorgeous pictures, Susie. You don't usually get a sunset like that AND a rainbow. I think it is wonderful that you get together with old classmates like that and enjoy yourselves like you do. So you have one thorn among the roses there (Jim)? I think it is cute he likes to go with you.
Hope you have a blessed night- xo Dina
