Moonrise & Sunset....

Here's the Frost moon rising . My poor zoom lens never does it credit. :):)
After going into town for a bargain fill up of our gas tank. We came by the Academy for another picture.
The sunset was pretty nice also.  Lots of pink color.
Took this from the porch.  That is a nice thing about living out here, we do get to see some pretty sunsets.
I now have the snow shovel on the porch. I do not want to have another big snow and not have this shovel near. Ted had it put in the shed and I had to use an old 10 inch wide shovel he had in the garage..that was about useless when you need to move snow.  Although we are to have a wonderful Thanksgiving day here. Then it's suppose to rain on Black Friday.   That should take care of any snow left on the ground.
I want to wish all of you a Thanksgiving day filled with the love of your family and friends. XO

  3. Beautiful skies where you are, Susie. I love that rusty pink color. It reminds me of some of the sunrises we used to see in the Colorado mountains. Haven't quite experienced that in NE Oregon yet. Maybe I've been too busy with the cottage and haven't taken the time to look. LOL Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family. God bless. ~ Nancy

    2. Hi Susie. We live on the east side of the state, so no ocean sunsets for us. I lived in Arizona for 10 months where there are some seriously gorgeous sunsets!

  17. I know that you probably don't love the snow as much as I would....because we don't ever get snow here. It is only on postcards and blogs that I get to "see" it....so, I love each photo that has snow in it.
    What beautiful photographs you take....
I love the colors in the sky.
Wishing you a beautiful weekend....and thanking God for all his blessings....near and far.
    Love,

    1. Jackie, I have kids that love the snow. Especially my grandson in Utah. I think I never like it so much...cause I had to drive to work in it and when I was little , I never had boots or gloves. Maybe you can go on a ski outing some time...you don't have to ski...you can just walk in the snow or sit around a nice big fire. Do things while you are young. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  20. My snow shovel is on the porch, too. A sunny lovely day today but I'm not taking any chances!

What beautiful skies you have there! Makes me smile!

  21. I get to enjoy seeing beautiful skies like this out my back door in the mornings. I tried to capture some of it this morning but only used my iPhone and it just couldn't capture the depth of color. Shovels- ha... we have a variety to choose from. Up here we really get it. We use a plastic only shovel- no metal edge on the deck because the metal can gouge the wood. So far what snow we got has melted and it's still clear here which is nice. We'll get it soon enough though- it always happens!
