I bought these little cards at Horton's and gave them along with some pink tiny clothes pins to my daughter. She is going to make a spring banner for her kitchen.
I got the resin bunny who is carrying a basket. I put the pink tulips in his basket. He is now a center piece. But I could plant some of the pansies in his basket.
Aren't these little pansy faces adorable. This variety of pansy was like it was double. You can see the ruffled edges.
The colors are so beautiful on this little fellow. Can't wait to have them in some little containers.
There were deep dark colors and some pale ones also. I liked the bright ones, so they were my first choice. I will be putting them in pots and posting about them later.
It was hard not to buy more at Horton's . But I am trying to not buy anything I can't use . You all know that is not easy. Have to scale back on want some times and think of need. We do need flowers and I want flowers....so that's a win-win. :):)
Wishing everyone a great new week. XO
Looks like some good pickin's! Love the bright happy faces. That bunny is adorable and love the cards. Have a great week- starting out here with drizzle and fog.
ReplyDeleteTete, We started out this morning all foggy and drizzling. It has pretty much rained lightly all day. I hope we can have sunshine soon. This is the kind of weather made for naps...I wish I could take a nap. LOL> Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe little old fashioned card is precious. I'm going to try to make a banner this week! I better get busy! Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, I hope my daughter hurries to make her banner too. Soon we will be thinking summery thoughts.lol... Just kidding I can see there green haze in the woods meaning things are starting to bud. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe cards are cute. The pictures of the pansies makes me want to go get some.
ReplyDeleteDebby, I truly hope we have a glorious spring. I love the smell of all the things blooming, the fresh air and the dirt as we plant things. Hope you are feeling good and that you are having some sunshine. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt's Bunny day. Every post I've visited this morning has a bunny. I love it! Those pansies are just stunning. I need a new top the color of the last one.
ReplyDeleteHave a great day, and lots of hugs.
Wanda, I think with your beautiful hair you will look great in a top that color. I am going to look at a few bogs...been gone all day. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI like the bright pansies, too! But I did see some that were kind of "tea" like - they had muted pastels, and en masse they looked incredible. Such happy little flower faces.
ReplyDeleteHope you can get some pansies for yourself. I think one pot would be so nice. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove all the photos, Susie, but especially your Bunny w/basket. Love! Love!
ReplyDeleteGlad you like the new bunny. I think he may end up in the garden. I have a little bunny by the containers and I love him , because he looks as if he is made of stone. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
DeleteVery colorful pictures! All signs of Spring. Yesterday was a beautiful Spring day, today not so much. Rain's a comin'. My landlords do a very good job decorating their property. I am sad that I have to leave here eventually.
ReplyDeleteBoston Boy, I hope you do not have to be gone long from your neighborhood. I know you loved your home. I liked seeing your photos of the area. Have you packed everything yet? Wishing you the best. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, flowers are a need for sure. I do love pansies.
ReplyDeleteVee, We do need things that make us happy too. :):) Flowers do that for me. Growing up, all we had was dandelions and violets...till mom moved in her last house. Then we had irises and lilacs...which turned out to be mommy favorite flowers. I have a two lilac bushes I got the starts from the ones at mommy's house. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt wouldn't be Spring without some colourful pansies ...
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Hi Jan, I think I may just be eager for some prettiness on the porch...and the pansies are hardy. Hope you are doing well, blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteAww, I knew you'd be putting some in the ground soon. They're so pretty. It does feel like spring but I'm afraid it's not going to last. Hugs, xo
ReplyDeleteSusie, Hope you are feeling better and getting some fresh air. I have sat on the porch a couple days..not for long periods but to write a letter or two. I am ready for some pretty flowers here. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeletePretty spring photos! Love the idea of pink clothespins!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Those clothes pins are tiny ones made of wood ...but there's some pink paper glued on the outsides....they have them in all colors and some in patterns...you know like scrapbook paper...I bet you could make some. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI scaled back also but still got a few happy flowers to help me survive until full on gardening season arrives! :)
ReplyDeleteSome times even if we do not need it ...we maybe need a bit of something to make us smile. LOL. Don't you love those sweet little faces of pansies? Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie, it is nice to meet you! Thank you for visiting my blog (from Blondie's) and leaving me a comment. Your bunny with the tulips in it is so cute. I love pansies; can't wait until the garden centers here in northern IL have them and I can get some planted. It's still too cold here, unfortunately.
ReplyDeleteHi Melanie, Thank you for coming by. I just love that Blondie girl, don't you? I needed some color for our porch and those pansies are so hardy. I want to do a couple crafts with them when my granddaughter comes over. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love pansies but have not bought any - yet! Probably won't now. The weather is already heating up and it's only MARCH! I always mean to buy them in December so I can enjoy them all winter and spring. So far that has NEVER happened!
ReplyDeleteHappy SPRING, Sweet Susie!!!
Linda, I think you have some color year round where you live. I can see a slight green haze in the woods...so I know things are budding....but I want some color on the porch for now. :):) Blessings to you and the family, love you, xoxo,Susie
