I want to say hooray for the weekend. :):) As you all know I am retired, so that means there are 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday in my week. I can pretty much come and go as I please. So it's not like I look forward to the weekend, like I did when I worked. I do look forward to the weekend, because then my girls are home from their jobs and I can visit with them, some times. Big smiles here.
Today I will meet my sisters at the senior center for bingo. Hope most of the people there are done with their colds and coughing. Gee-zoo, it's the adults who seem to forget to cover when coughing. Kids have been taught to cough into the clothes or under their arms these days. They are better at covering than their parents or grandparents. LOL
Wishing all of you a great weekend. Enjoy life. XO
6 Saturdays? I can't wait to someday I experience that! Have fun at Bingo!
ReplyDeleteAnn, I am thinking once you retire, you may need to build a pole barn to house all the pyrex you will be collecting. :):)Six Saturdays will be plenty of shopping days. I love all your wonderful things. I tell my daughters about your collection. I also tell them about how great you are at keeping your family history alive. You amaze me. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSo true about the coughing! I try to cough into my shoulder as the kids do, but sometimes I have to settle for the elbow if I'm all stiff that day! But at work, people think nothing of just coughing like a seal barking at the beach! Cough-cough-cough, and the whole office gets sick!
ReplyDeleteHope you get a good visit with your daughters.
Oh thank you for the good laugh...I can just see them all coughing like seals. My daughter told me of a fellow she works near bringing his cold to work to share...she said it wasn't long and many were dropping like flies, going home sick. Good grief. I will try to get some picture if I see my girls. Blessings to you for a great fun weekend, xoxo,Susie
Delete6 Saturdays?? I'll take some of that!! Have fun with your sisters at bingo Susie and a fabulous weekend to you :)
ReplyDeleteKaren, I will tell you, by the time you retire, you'll wish you had twelve Saturday a week. LOL. I think we condense our time while working...better than while being retired, we tend to put off things a bit. Hope you can see your retirement near. Blessings honey, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWell I'm semi-retired. I have about 10-12 months before I can end my working life. That sounds so final. Anyway I have to agree with you with, coming and going as I please, well to a greater degree than before, for four days a week.
ReplyDeleteBy the way I just had a cup of coffee and counting my blessings.
Boston Boy, So glad you can relax with a good coffee and count your blessings. I think you will be the type to actually miss working. I still miss it. It's the camaraderie with co-workers, more than the work. Although I do miss fixing things. Remember my first day of retirement, I cried. LOL...it is final in many ways. Blessings for a fun weekend, Hello to Arlene, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYeah- hope you didn't sit next to any sneezers, Susie! lol Hope you have a good weekend and get to spend a bit of time with your daughters. xo Diana
ReplyDeleteHi Diana, I miss you so much. I am praying everyday for you, John and the family. Blessings to all, love you, Susie
DeleteI haven't played Bingo in so long!!! My kids and I played a lot when we were homeschooling!
ReplyDeleteYeah, I am the same way about the weekend. It really isn't any different than any other day but it still feels special!
Linda, My girls used to love to play bingo at the family reunions to get a white elephant gift. LOL. I love any time I can be with my girls. They are my greatest gift. Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie
DeleteSusie ~ I love having 6 Saturdays and 1 Sunday too. The weekends are wonderful for family.
ReplyDeleteSpent Tues with my dearest and two of our daughters who are planning my 75th BD party soon and wanted to ask me some questions. How fun to be with daughters.
Wanda, May I say you are looking good for being 75...many years younger looking. I love being with my girls, don;'t you. Our kids are special...well to us. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteEven though I'm retired, I still look forward to the weekend. My weekdays are so full of appointments and things to do that I need that Saturday just as much as I did when I was working!
ReplyDeleteI remember getting sick so much when I worked in the library. If a kid was off from school because they were sick, the parents just sent them to the library. I'm much healthier now.
Kathy, I am so glad to hear you are doing better health wise in your retirement. Even with 6 Saturdays, I some times could use a few more. LOL. Hope one day for you to have all your appointments caught up...so you can relax. Blessings to you and Joe, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie, Hope you won a game of Bingo. Love the sunset and I love being retired. Hope you have a wonderful weekend.
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Thank you Noreen. I was very lucky to be able to get 30 years in and retire early. :) I will be seeing my daughter and her family tomorrow. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThanks so much for stopping by!!
ReplyDeleteI will look forward to the weekends when I am retired and do not have to work every other weekend as I have for the past 38 years....
Hugs,
Deb
Debbie, After 38 years , yes you will be joyous when you retire. I do miss the job I had ,it was an amazing job. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteEnjoy your weekend, Susie, and enjoy the time with your girls!
ReplyDeleteJudy, My girls and I used to go shopping every spring. Those fun days seem to have gone to the way side. Now I just am thrilled for any time they can spare. We tend to get caught up in our lives. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHope you don't catch any bugs! Have a good weekend.
ReplyDeleteThe paper is saying there's a surge in flu at this late season. I think some people think you only get the flu if it's snowing and in winter..so they get laxed. Thank you for the good wishes. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHave a happy weekend. I've managed to catch a "bug", but I promise I always cough into my sleeve! (wouldn't want to touch my sleeve... blah!) -Jenn
ReplyDeleteJenn, You made me laugh, about your sleeve. As kids we wiped our noses n our shirt tails or dress hems. LOL. too busy playing to go get a hanky.LOL. Hope you get over your bug. Our local paper said the flu season is running later and is now on a surge. Yikes. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWeekends can be so much fun - have a good one.
ReplyDeleteAll the best Jan
Thank you Jan. I hope your weekend was fun. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat's a cool picture of the heart shadow against the shed and the little sweet bird. And a beautiful sunrise, Susie. :) I've always liked playing BINGO, it's fun!
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
I have had that little heart yard pick all over my front yard. But I like it best by the shop/garage because it does make that pretty shadow when the evening sun hits it. I bought it years ago at Hobby-Lobby. Blessings, love, Susie
DeleteBingo is fun. I haven't played in years. May have to change that. Hope you enjoyed yourself. xo
ReplyDeleteNancy, My MIL used to bingo for big money with her other lady friends. My girls always wanted to play bingo at the family reunions to get a white elephant gift. LOL. It's just a chance to see my sisters..we some times go to lunch from there. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
