Wreath Crafting.....

When Emma was here, we made this wreath for her mom , for Easter. Use the lid off the take home pizza box. :):)   Cut into a circle..Cut strips of an old church hymnal's pages.
Bits of fake apple blossoms....or any pretty fake flowers you may have already.
Glue the strips of paper around the pizza lid ring. Tie on the flowers with any pretty ribbon.
We made this in a hurry, as it was nearing time for Emma to go home. But her mom loved it. It's a quick craft for kids. Doesn't take much. You could use any pretty scraps of paper also.
Thinking of you this Good Friday. Sending happy Easter wishes to all. XO

    1. Laurie, We use lots of cardboard from boxes. :):) The hymnal was a yard sale item(dime) , I already had the flower sprigs and ribbons. I fear one day not far down the road now...that our Emma will not want to craft like this. She's growing up fast..it's sad for me and exciting for her...you know. Blessings to you and your family for a great Easter. xoxo,Susie

  7. This is the SWEETEST craft I have seen in awhile and you can bet your bottom dollar I will be making that with our quads!! I may have to use the copier to make enough for FOUR wreaths! One to keep, one for their Mama and two for gifts to whomever they choose! Thank you, Sweet Susie!!! You and Emma did such a good job!

    1. Thank you Linda. It's good to make crafts that don't take lots of money and it's stuff that's handy. I save the best cardboard from the pizza boxes. It's rare we have pizza, but while Emma was here we had it for lunch one day. You could use strips of wrapping papers or the sunday comics for a kid's wreath. You could use any old trinkets or old tiny toys instead of flower sprigs too. Blessings to all of you, love, xoxo,Susie

  8. This is a pretty wreath! I wouldn't have the heart to use an old book. I would have to photocopy the pages and I think that might work just as well. So sweet.

  13. What a pretty Easter wreath, and how special that it's made out of old church hymns. You and Emma are always working on special projects and I bet she enjoys that so much. The pink flowers add a special touch. I am really into pink lately and bought a comforter with pink roses.

Wishing my dear friend a very happy Easter. Your friendship is dear to me, Susie.

    1. Sheri, You are one of my very special blog pals too. I think it's because I know how much you love your children...as much as I love mine. I know you love your roses. I love soft pink roses best. All roses are pretty, but I like the pastel ones. That old church hymnal was a dime at the church rummage...so it was ok to use in crafts. I sang some of the songs as we cut them up. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie Happy Easter.
