Birthday Babies...

Where did my  baby girls go?? I miss holding them on my lap.
They grew into individuals...Karen a tomboy, bike riding, ramp jumping, skateboarding, ball player type of young girl. Liz a butterfly chasing, bug catching, primping girl. They both loved swimming and reading as young kids.
Liz is a nurse , running an Alzheimer's unit in a nursing home. Karen works on the docks receiving and some times unloading parts for a semi trailer manufacturing plant.
I want to give them flowers for their up coming birthday. These are  summertime blooms. My girls are loving wives and mothers. Good citizens, with giving hearts.  I am very proud of all my daughters.
They are my twins. Not identical.
Hoping to be able to celebrate their birthday without being too late.
We are back into dense fog now.  The twins will take time to spend together, going to lunch and a movie. They have been doing this for a few years. They live close by each other. Liz is the one who introduce Karen and her husband. For a few years they were even next door neighbors. I am so glad they are still very close.
Like I said it's foggy here. We have had some ups, downs, rain ,fog, and if there was sun it was fleeting. What happened to winter here? I do not want big super snows or cold...but we need winter.
It's only 61 more days till spring...but we know winter has gone deep into spring before and could again. I remember just last year, all of us longing for spring.
Be safe today, wishing you joy. XO

  1. Happy birthday to your twins! I find their differences fascinating ! It's wonderful that they are still so close.
It's nearly 10:00 as I lie in bed with the back door open listening to bird song and power tools. Someone is getting a new roof in the neighborhood! Right now a mockingbird is giving a concert and it is beautiful. I'm counting over a dozen different calls from this one bird!
So it feels, looks and sounds like spring here in North Texas too!

    1. Sheri, It makes me happy when my girls make time to be together...it keeps the family close. It's always family that will come thru for you when you may need them. I am praying you do not get much more rain. We are to have as much as 1 1/2 inches of rain this evening. I do not like that much rain when the ground is saturated already. Hoping most blows over. Be safe. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Susie, for such kind words. When the twins were in high school nad I was still a young mom, Kids used to yell, "HI Liz." when they drove by. I would yell, "I am the mom. " LOL. I am afraid to have too many mild days at winter time. I am hoping the rains go thru here quickly...no flooding. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie

  12. Happy Birthday to your beautiful girls. It is amazing how twins can be so different in personalities. I love that they both embrace their individuality. My hubby Terry is an identical twin. Mirror twins they call them. They look exactly alike but are really different in personalities too. We are getting about the same weather up here in Chicagoland. I miss the sun. Hope it comes out soon. Could use some sun filled days.
    hugs,
    Kris

    1. Hi Kris, I didn't know Terry was a twin...if he is a mirror twin...does that mean he is double cute. :):) My twins never have looked a like. Karen is a blue eyed blond and Liz has burnette hair and brown eyes. I wish winter would just be winter and not that arctic stuff or spring temps either. It's crazy. We need cold temps to kill of insects. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  13. Susie, we definitely need the rain, even though it's coming down, as our drought is almost over because of it. It's really windy too.....and cold. I bet you loved the little bit of sunshine you had. :)

    1. It was windy here today...that may have helped get rid of the fog. I honestly can not believe how many foggy days we had last year and already this new year. London has nothing on us now . LOL. Blessings for a fun weekend. xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi, It was okay to dress the twins alike for some occasions. But most often they wanted to wear different things. After kindergarten I separated them in different classes and let them dress differently. They both have their grandma Francis' sense of humor...so they are fun to be around. Blessings to you and yours, xoxox, Susie
