Some Calm....

I took this photo a week ago or so. I wanted to post it to tell how my brother George is doing. His surgery went very well. his by pass was a 3 way. He had to stay on the ventilator over night. They removed it yesterday morning and he was not breathing as deeply on his own, as of  4:00...so they may put him back on it. I am praying for the best today. I know he needs to be up. They had our mother up on the 3rd day. I also realize everyone is different.
This is my grandson Brock. He is still playing his guitar  He is tuning this one for his cousin Savannah.
He bought his daughter Layla a little guitar for Christmas. Here they are playing together.
Layla loves to dance and play. Such a sweet child.
On a happy note, she is wearing her new panties.  I said , I wear mine  like that a times. :):) You know those days when you can't tell which end is up.
I have been a little glum with this crazy weather. I love the temperatures , 47 yesterday...but rain all day and fierce winds last evening.  Today will be quiet till later.  54 today and 60 tomorrow, with rains. I am not a fan of winter rains...but if this were snow with those winds last night.. I would be shoveling today.
California is getting so much rain...too much at once.  Places in the south having snow and ice. Cold in Texas.  Where are people going for a warm  vacation?  Wishing you all well. Be safe when going out. XO

  7. You're right in saying everybody is different. Praying your brother will soon be able to breathe on his own and up and getting around. My husband had a quad bypass and it was four days before they could coax him up.
What a sweet pic of your grandson and Layla playing guitar. She is a doll. He's a handsome young man.

    1. Vee, Your telling of your daughter and the basket made me think of one of my twins...she would get pots out of the cabinet and sit in them or wear them as hats...so funny. Hope you are doing well and stay warm. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. Susie, I'm glad to hear your brother made it through surgery. I hope he heals now. That is such a sweet picture of Layla and dad playing the guitar. Susie, we are having so much rain here in California, and it is surely needed. It's been raining for three days... and lots of wind too. Our lakes are filling up now!

Blessings to you on these January days, Susie. Stay warm and cozy.

  11. I'm still praying for your brother and glad to get the update. My brother had to have that in 2012 and he did the same way but is doing great now. I was wondering about you and all this weather. We've went from sub zero weather back to Fall Temps. Winter can be crazy and brutal. You all take care and stay warm. Thanks for the update. Thanks for the Pics, enjoyed them. Hugs, xo

    1. Kris, I just got word my brother was sitting up and talking...hooray. God is good. Thanks for the prayers. My gosh I was beginning to think I was the only one thinking...hurry up spring time. I think the fact that fall lasted so long and winter is super cold when it's here and gone in a day or two...I am so confused. I am almost dreading Feb. :) I have not done much since taking down Christmas. I need to get busy, busy ,busy. Hugs to you dear friend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  13. I rarely read comments but I saw that your above comment said your brother is doing better. I am so glad he is doing well and I know you are relieved and grateful.

I hope you have a good night and week. This weather just drives me nuts with the cold and ice and snow. Then, you add the overcast dreary days and I just want to run away sometimes. lol

I can hardly wait for Spring- xo Diana

    1. Diana, You know that we pray and take our worries to God...but still we worry, no wonder God lets our hair turn gray. LOL. I was thrilled to know George was sitting up. Kris told me it takes a while to get off the ventilator and that made me feel better too. I think we need to start a , "I am outta here" traveling ladies club for the winter months. I think I could use a cruise. I have not had a real vacation in years now. 68 more days till spring Diana. LOL. Blessings to you and yours, Love, xoxo, ,Susie

    1. Jenn, I heard from my brother's daughter last night(Wed.)that he has been move to a special care room, a step down from SICU and he is sitting up. That is such good news . I am so thankful. I know all the prayers have helped. Our weather this morning at 7:00 is 50 degrees and will reach 60 then start dropping back to winter temps and then snow. It's a crazy winter here. I hope we can all have an early spring...because it's only 67 days to go. Oh course it snows in spring. :( Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
