I Had A Workout....

This is the last of the wonderful sunshine we had this weekend. It was so much like spring, both days.
My twins celebrated their birthday for about a week. LOL.  Liz's children came over and brought the babies to her house. They made a wonderful late lunch for all of us. Here's Layla with her grandmother AKA Gigi.
Max had to get some Gigi loving too.  He smiles so big, he makes you think you are the most special person ever. :):)
I had to get in on the hugs and baby sweetness too.  Max kept chewing his fingers. Getting more teeth.
Ever notice it only takes about five minutes for two little guys to make it look like a whirling dervish hit your house , full force. Gee walking thru Liz's living room was like an obstacle course. Max kept bring me a huge book to read. I ask Liz, "what ever happened to Little Golden books, does Max need to carry "War and Peace " around. :)
Good news about good old Sam the dog...he was romping around the yard . I almost wanted to cry, he was like a little kid, happy for company and attention.  One thing a bit strange to me, he never chased the chickens like he used too. Maybe too many watching him. LOL
After playing with the babies and the dog, I was wore out when we got home. I thought why do I feel so tired....well I raked on Saturday and did baby lifting on Sunday...this old gray mare ain't what she used to be...for sure.
This week is going to take us back into winter. Today is to be in the 40's. But that's good to me.  Wishing all of you well. Praying for those that had the terrible weather this weekend.  Bless all. XO

  1. Love your pictures, Susie. What sweet goodness you're holding there!
We had warmer weather and a lot of fog this weekend. What a weird winter so far...and we have a snow storm coming tomorrow night--but, like you, it is almost 40° here today.
It is so sad what happened in GA with those tornadoes, etc.
Have a great week. xo Diana

    1. Diana, I loved my time with the children. Talk with Lynzie about how much longer before Max has a baby sister or brother..gosh in only 3 more months...poor Lynzie. Max will be 1 1/2 years old..then I think Lynzie and Mark will be done with just two...that's what they are saying. LOL. This weather...Is it from growing old or does the weather patterns ready seem different? Stay safe there. Blessings to all, love, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I do not know how any one would want a baby in the forties or older...It would kill me. My mom had my baby brother when she was 33. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  3. Susie, that's a cute picture of you and Max. He has such a sweet smile. How nice that you got to see the kids this weekend. You know, I collect those wonderful Golden Books, and gave Jess one this Christmas. I'm glad to hear about Sam romping the yard again, that's good news.

Have a wonderful week, Susie. It's raining today, but supposed to clear up tomorrow and the rest of the week.

    2. Sheri, I remember my girls having some golden books. We did love them. I have some kids books here. I hope one day they will be in the homes of some family members. Oh yes when I saw Sam come running it lifted my heart. I hug him now, when I didn't use too..I use to only pat his head.I always worry what he might have rolled in. LOL I tried taking Max's fingers from his mouth but they were right back in before Liz snapped the shot. Hope the rains let up....I keep hearing of floods there. Blessings, xoxo, love Susie

I need to have a personal trainer to get my muscles built up. :):) Hope you are doing well and having fun. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. Making sweet memories to last a life time. You sure have a beautiful family. It reminds me of when my grandchildren were little. It always looked like a tornado had hit but we enjoyed every minute of it. Hugs and Love, xo

  6. Hi Susie, It's amazing how little ones can tire us out-but wouldn't trade it for the world. Our nice weather is changing today-we've got snow coming tonight-ugh, I'm ready for spring. Hope you have a great week.

  7. =D Those are great family pictures. I love the one of you carrying your little great around. I know that having the grands can wear me out. There's a lot to it! You made me laugh with the War and Peace comment. They still have wonderful Little Golden Books. Saw some today and thought that very thing...they still have them!

    1. Vee, I loved every minute of being with the babies. I don't get to see them as much as I would like...nor the grandchildren...they all have jobs and have to work. Except for 3 grands still in school. I might bu some of those golden books for the g.grands. Lyla pretends she can read and it's so funny. Blessings, hope your weather's good. xoxo, Susie

  8. So sweet to see you with those precious ones. Adorable. We are having the same weather as you. Just would love to see some sunshine. I would almost rather have it cold if we could get some sunshine. Have a great start to the new week.

    1. Linda, I enjoyed every minute with the kids. Been so long since I had little ones around ...Emma is going to be 13 in 3 months...So I haven't baby lifted for years..I never see enough of them. I have felt my strength wane the past couple of years. That is one reason I will rake, shovel and sweep...to keep moving.LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  10. Being a grandma is not for the faint of heart. I have Madelyn on Mondays from 8-5. I nap when she naps. It's supposed to be my peaceful day as the rest are all running around. Yet when she's up I'm trying to be alert!!! WHAT WILL I DO IN 3 MONTHS WHEN SHE'S CRAWLING? HA!

Love the kiddie pics. You are so blessed!

    1. Blondie, I know as grandmothers we have more patience, but I do not have as much strength. I had forgotten how much little guys can move and get into things and climb. I saw Max pointing to the door latch, so I told his parents that he already is figuring out how the door operates, he will try to get out on his own...and he's only 13 months old. I was carrying him around and asked where is his walker thingy...I even forgot he was walking and running now. LOL. Blessings, stay warm, winter is coming back. xoxo, Susie

  11. Your daughter looks just like you! I see nothing wrong with celebrating birthdays all week long. My Sister does it all the time! I absolutely loved the weather over the weekend. Just wish I felt better. We've been fighting off the cold/flu thing. My Shug has it worse than I do. And I still got out a little. Just been so tired. Happy Birthday to your daughters!

    1. Cindy, I hate that you and the Shug are sick. I do not want to catch whatever that is. Our g.daughter-in-law got something respiratory while home for Christmas and is still fighting it. So darn scary. Yes, Liz and Angie look like me. Kathy and Karen have their father's blue eyes and blond hair. (we lost him, many years ago, I still miss that man).Blessings to you, get well honey. xoxo, Susie
