Thursday Morning....

It's a wet Thursday morning here.  You can see branches on the ground from the winds we have been having.
After it was daylight, I got out and picked up branches and sticks.  I am wore out. I have four trees with piles like this around them. Once the ground refreezes we can load this debris in a trailer to haul away.
Boy this drab day is not good for taking photos. I looked at Carol's  Art and Sand blog this morning. She is such an inspiring lady.  She had some greenery around her house and added birds to it.
So me being a big copy cat, had to try my hand at doing the same .
I do have a lot of little bird items in my home. Some fake greenery too.
This is a large glass vase, that I use in decorating. I have my little wren nest that I found in our clematis last summer. Added a couple fake leaves and this feathery bird. Thank you Carol , for always showing us your beautiful home and all your cute decorating ideas.
Thank you my dear blogging family. Your good wishes, thoughts and prayers have helped my brother George. He is now sitting up and talking. On the road to being a new man , I am so sure. You have to know once the blood is flowing right and carrying oxygen, you would have to feel so much better.  Bless all of you. XO

    1. Thank you. I received a photo of my brother and he looked like our mother when she had her heart surgery. I have never seen my big brother sick in the hospital. But to see him sitting up, made me happy. It will be a wonderful spring too. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. At least it might keep you warm when you are picking up all those sticks, Susie. Can you figure some kind of art projects to do with them? Little birdies are always a good winter pick up..Happy Thursday..Judy

    1. Judy, I worked so hard picking up sticks my glasses fogged up. My hand got so cold I put two pair of gloves on to finish. I feel it was to no avail, as we are to have possible ice storms this weekend. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  7. Wonderful, wonderful news about George. I'm so happy for you as I know it is such a relief. I remember your little wren's nest when you found it.
That looks like hard work bending up and down to gather those sticks.

    1. Nonnie, I am so thankful for the power of prayer. I had the wren's nest on the porch, then I saw where some one put theirs on the Christmas tree so I did too. Then I decided to use it decorating. Nonnie wouldn't you think I would have a small waist line from bending ...LOL. I am hoing we do not have more sticks to pick up after this weekend, an ice storm is headed our way. Blessings to you and your husband, xoxo, Susie

  13. So glad your brother is doing better, Susie. Your greenery and birds around your house is charming, and I love the red cardinals. It's my dream to see one someday. You did a lot of work cleaning the ground with the twigs and branches; it looks nice and groomed. I bet you were tired and sore afterwards. The sun is shining today after three days of rain. :) Have a pleasant weekend, dear one.

    love, ~Sheri

  14. Oh, I love that little birdie in the vase Susie!!! Such a lovely idea! That wind is no fun, is it? We've had a lot of it this week and since we had another foot of snow fall it has made some huge drifts here. It's making it a little hard to get around though :)
My health is getting back to normal and thank you for the well wishes. I just had to have a bit of (female) surgery and I felt rotten for about 2 weeks but now am getting better and better.
I know if Landon could, he would send you a big hug! And I send you lots of love. I think of you so often Susie and hope that you have a wonderful New Year!

Now if that ice storm would dissipate, all would be well. Blessings to you and yours, stay safe. xoxo, Susie
