Let The Bidding Begin....

Our library is having a silent auction. There were about a dozen baskets of goodies to be auctioned off. This first one is for bird lovers. Its lots of bird books, some feed and a bird house  all in a wire basket.
This second basket is a nice one for the cook. It's cookbooks, pot holders, scissors, measuring cups and spoons.
This was a sweet handmade basket , with kitchen towels and handmade ornaments.
Tipton Blue Devils will love this basket. T-shirts, gum, cups, and dishes.
One for a lover of the Indianapolis Colts. Picture of the team, cap, cups, napkins, and a bag of chips.
The kids would love this. The tags says , You are one in a Minion. LOL  A basket full of minion dolls, a throw and  I am not sure if that a movie or book. The cellophane made it difficult to get clear pictures.
I am going back to the library today, I may bid on one of these. It would be fun to win and give to someone. I would probably keep the bird things. LOL. But then again Ted and I bought 80 pounds of birdseed yesterday.
We ate lunch at Bob Evans yesterday and brought home some of their baked breads. Ted loves banana bread and I like the pumpkin.  Two loafs for 8 dollars. We used to eat there about 3 times a week when we worked. Now we go maybe 3 times a year. It's good food, but pass on the coffee.
We are having wind and rain.  Hope all of you have a good day. XO

  1. The bird and cook baskets both look good. Haven't eaten at a Bob Evans in years, not even sure we have them down here.

  2. What a great idea! Do patrons of the library contribute the baskets, or businesses in the community? This is a good fundraiser idea. I hope you win one, Susie!

    1. Linda, I have been out twice to set the trash container upright...I told ted not to put it out and I am thinking of bringing it in the shop...as we can go two weeks . That's how badly the wind is blowing. I hope it slows down soon. We had a fire in the fireplace yesterday also. Blessings for a good day there. love you, Susie

  4. That is a great idea for the library to have a silent auction. At the first library I worked at we used to have baskets that we raffled off. It was something like 50 cents a ticket or three for $1. We raised a lot of money that way. I enlarged the pictures so I could see them better. They are all cute baskets.

  11. Those are always fun. I have won a few silent auctions over the years and it is always a treat to open the package and see what all is actually in there.

I sure wish we had a Bob Evans around here. I don't think there are any in our state at all. xo Diana

    1. Boston Boy, This auction is silent...you just write down what you'd give and others will try to offer more. It would be fun to have these more often. Hope you Arlene get to enjoy your times out there where you live. I know you have a favorite place on the island. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
