Some Sunday Color....

This tree is in town. It turns yellow all at once. When the leaves fall , it makes a beautiful yellow carpet. I love to look at this tree every time I drive that street. I do not know what kind it is, and it  seems to be the only one of it's kind,  in the whole area.
This is a meal I might make  on Sunday's.  Tete(beyond the garden gate)  this is how I make meatloaf...I make two small ones and add potatoes and carrots. Makes two meals for Teddy and I.   I just threw this in for color. LOL
Shot of an old wicker picnic basket full of burlaps flowers and orange tulips.   I have a basket made of wicker and I am just going to have to dump all the magazine from it , so I can use mine in decorating.
I can't  even remember where I snapped this photo of this pretty round yellow/orange tree. Maybe the Pioneer company , on my way to my daughter's house.  The very same daughter, who is taking me to a play this afternoon. It's called Spamalot.  suppose to be funny...so I am all for an afternoon of fun.  I will post about it and let you know how it went.  Wishing you a  sweet Sunday. XO

    1. Cindy, This weather is tops to me...It's chilly but not bone cold. I think some things...no wonder people have pole barns...a place to put their stuff...do you remember George Carlin old comedy skit about "stuff"? I have stuff I have forgotten about. Dang. There wasa towel there that said, "No champagne for me...said no one ever !!" I almost bought it...I thought that was so darn funny. Thinking of you girl and your bees. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. Diana, Roast sounds so good too. My daughter turned me onto the oven bags...make a roast and all the trimming in a bag and doesn't make a mess. Keeps the juices in with all the potatoes and carrots, easy clean up too. Hope you had a great Sunday. xoxo,Susie

  6. We love meatloaf and yours looks good. That beautiful golden tree reminds me of my neighbor's sweet gum tree. I always loved seeing that tree in the fall. I've heard of Spamalot. Hope you enjoyed it.

  9. Some trees around here starting to turn while others are done. A very uneven Fall. Your shots are quite nice.

  11. Susie, I noticed my town today while driving, and the trees still show the Fall leaves on them. I can see that Fall is in your town still too. I love that last picture of the golden tree, it's so pretty. I prepare meatloaf like this also, with carrots and potatoes. Two small ones, what a great idea.

Have a good week ahead, Susie.

  12. Hi Susie, I read each of the comments hoping someone could identify the tree because it is beautiful. I just showed it to my husband and he said it might be a ginkgo.

    1. It seems the meatloaf cooks better this way too. It may be crazy, But I love meatloaf, spaghetti and taco salad and could eat that all the time... but chicken salad is my all time favorite. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  15. I will have to try your meatloaf when the kids finally leave here and its only us 2. Love the basket of flowers.
Spamalot sounds like fun and I hope you have a grand weekend...did you hear anything about snow that way? Could get it here a bit. The north is most certainly going to get it. Thanks for always stopping by. I can always count on you.

  16. Tete, I make two meatloaves so it cooks thru, each is a half pound of beef....just right for two. You could still do a big meatloaf with veggies when you have more than two. Yes, the weatherman here is saying Saturday...heavier snow up north...we may get an inch. My daughter is on her way to Chicago to catch her flight to Utah, she lives at the state line near Michigan. Praying they do not get the predicted 8 inches of snow in Chicago. You know, I count my blessings, but I was so over snow last year...it's hard to deal with it. Blessings, stay warm dear friend, xoxo,Susie
