We had snow come in the wee hours of Wednesday. Ted swept to get the newspaper.
Later I started shoveling to take the mail to the box. I do my shoveling in shifts. We had about 2 1/2 inches of snow. All light as air and fluffy.
Shoveled to the shop. Then shoveled that driveway. Put the trash can back after the pick up.
Once the sun came out after I shoveled...the driveways dired nicely.
It was nice to have sunshine. That just makes me smile.
This is how it looked this morning. So pretty and the trees were all frosty.
Wow, I just love seeing these pink skies.
Here's frost on the pines. This just makes me in awe of the beauty of nature.
The little woods in back was all white.
The birds have been stomping the snow down ...under the feeders. Got to keep them feed when there's snow on everything. They can't find enough to eat.
Ted had an eye doctor appointment and I had a dentist appointment. What a morning. I got prepped for a new crown , I am not talking the Queen's either. Ted got his eye dilated. We were tired when we got home. Both of us are glad those appointments are over .
Wishing all of you a good day. If you may be in the storm path, be safe. XO
Pretty pictures especially that pink sky- that's gorgeous! We've been getting snow steadily for a couple of weeks and seem to be making up time for not getting it for s long. The bird tracks are cute- probably morning doves. Hubby had his eyes checked yesterday- a cataract started. I hate going to the dentist- besides going through what you have to go through the expense is enough to make you run out the door (especially when you don't have dental insurance). Your land is real flat- nice to see a long way in the distance. We have hills everywhere here. Love seeing the pines covered with snow- so pretty!
ReplyDeleteLiz, I am hoping the new storm coming thru misses us as the weatherman is saying...but oh I will be praying for everyone in it's path...too scary.Ted's eye dr. said he had the start of a cataract also....he said when you get a certain age it's just one of the things that happens. Oh yes, my dentist is not bashful about billing. I have insurance too.You know Liz, this morning with the frost on the trees, that is one of the beautiful things of winter. Blessings, be safe. xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful to look at, but a pain to be in, I'm sure! Snow - I love how it looks on your pines. And I know what you mean about being glad appointments are over. It's like it hangs over your spirit until the appointment is over and you can just sink back and relax.
ReplyDeleteOh my gilr, I am not a snow lover...never have been. When I was young, we had not gloves or boots and now I just am too old to play in it. LOL Take about being keyed up.. I was so tense in the dentist chair..I almost went to sleep when it was over from being able to just let my breath out and relax. LOL. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThose sunrise photos are absolutely gorgeous!!!! Aren't we so blessed to live somewhere so beautiful and peaceful? Xo
ReplyDeleteYes honey, we are blessed with a beautiful country. We may not like everything going on here...but I would not want to live anywhere else. Blessings, be safe if you are in the storm's path. xoxo,Susie
DeleteYes, always good to get the unpleasant stuff over with. Hope that you don't have to do much more shoveling. The sunset is beyond spectacular. Truly beautiful colors.
ReplyDeleteVee, I am not a good dental patient ...ever. I mean I do as they say and never complain...but I get so nervous my tummy will hurt.I am a chicken in the dentist chair. LOL My hubby had his eye dilated today too...he is getting new glasses. Getting out of the dentist chair and the beauty this morning was the best of my day. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Deletesuch beautiful photos, I hear you're getting some bad weather in your part of the U.S, I hope it misses you,, I don't like going to the dentist at all, I'm a big chicken,
ReplyDeletesquawk squawk lol,,
Laurie, I am a big chicken also..it's a wonder I don't lay an egg right there in the dentist chair. But I certainly was relieved when it was over for this time. In 3 weeks I go back. the weatherman said the storm may skirt south of us.. I hope so. But please pray for those in it's path...it's the risk of ice, that's scary. Blessings to you and Garry, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour winter is beautiful....
ReplyDeleteA lot of hard work for you, but beautiful!!
Jackie, I will say the snow covers lots of ugly at times. You know. The frosty trees with the pink skies was a sight to see. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat pink sky is beautiful!! I don't have the appreciation for snow that so many have. Good job with all the shoveling.
ReplyDeleteI am not a real snow lover...there are some pretty things about winter, like the frosty trees...that was wonderful. But I am counting the days till spring. Blessings to all of you, hope you are safe from the storms going thru. xoxo,Susie
DeleteOuch! A crown at the dentist! We had snow most of the day on Wednesday. Roads were a mess! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I am thinking of you and praying you are safe. I know your state is in the midst of the big storm. I have a temp crown and will get the permanent one on the 9th of Feb.. Hopefully my friend it will be the last dental work for a long time. :) Bless you, stay warm, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI don't mind when the snow is fluffy---easy. When it's 10 degrees and fluffy---not so much!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry to hear that you and your guy had these appointments. Good in the long run but not something to look forward to. I bet you are relieved they are over (hopefully). :)
Jane
Blondie, The super bitter cold makes my fingers hurt. I have arthritis in my ankles and fingers...probably from my old job. Ted and I rested once we got home. He could not be out in the brightness what with having his eyes dilated. I was exhausted from the stress of the dental chair. I have a temp crown and will get the permanent one in Feb. I am praying this is the last dental work for a long time. :) Blessings to you and yours, be safe if you go out. xoxo,Susie
Deletebrrr...i am tired of winter, cold, wind, snow, did i mention COLD..?
ReplyDeleteBe careful shoveling snow..hard work and hard on the heart...xoxo
BJ, I think you had as much snow as we have had this year. I think we will not be in the big storm's path and I feel relieved. Take care, blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a beautiful winter landscape!!! That pink is just gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteMy condolences on your crown. Dental visits are my all time LEAST favorite thing to do! I used to have to have a sedative for a routine checkup!!
Hope you and Ted stayed inside and warm and cozy when y'all got home!
Linda, You and I are much alike...I love my dentist but hate to go there. LOL I just get so keyed up that I am totally stressed out from it. I get the permanent crown in Feb. Hope I do not go back for a very long time after that. Blessings to you and LD, love you guys, xoxo,Susie
DeleteJust love the pink skies. We got only about an inch of snow yesterday. We are on the cusp of the storms just by a few miles. Stay safe.
ReplyDeleteDebby, I hope the storm misses you too. I think we will be okay this round...but oh my gosh, I have to pray for those in it's path...the ice scares me. So dangerous, no power in winter is frightful. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love California, and have never lives anywhere else. But the beauty of your snow is breathtaking. Work for sure as you shovel but it like a winter wonderland to us So. Cal folks.
ReplyDeleteWanda, You have so many things to see and do there in your state...if you want snow you can visit the mountains. I am a very cautious person when I shovel...I push the snow and I take breaks often. If the snows are heavy/wet...I leave it. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLooks like you didn't get much snow..We could get up to 2 feet..It just started and will continue until midnight tomorrow..First snow of the winter!!
ReplyDeleteMissy, I hope you do not get that much snow..it would take us forever to dig out of that. This is only about our 4th snow. Please be safe Missy. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, I've never seen such glorious pink skies before. These pics should be in a magazine. wow, that is a lot of shoveling that you and Ted have to do in the driveway. What a cute picture of the bird's foot prints in the snow.
ReplyDeleteStay warm this weekend, Susie, and bundle up. It looks cold there.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, This weekend will be a slow one here. I'll keep the fires burning and do my household chores...but that's about it. Blessings to you and the girls for a fun weekend...I know you are going dress shopping. Love you, Susie
DeleteSusie, those pink skies are so beautiful!! I'm glad your snow was light and fluffy. The worst is the heavy, wet snow that wrecks backs! I love the bird tracks photo. :-))
ReplyDeleteHave a good weekend.
Judy, I think Indiana just truly lucked out with that big storm skirting the edge of the state. Birds are eating like mad, filling the feeders more often. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSusie, those pink skies are so beautiful!! I'm glad your snow was light and fluffy. The worst is the heavy, wet snow that wrecks backs! I love the bird tracks photo. :-))

Great pics....what a beautiful sky. Thanks for reminding me that spring is around the corner, hope you will visit again soon!
ReplyDeleteHi Patti, Oh yes, I'll visit more. My husband tells me to not count the days till spring, but I just can't help myself. LOL We may have some sunshine today. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
