Thru The Park.....

I went thru our park yesterday., after going to pay a bill at the hospital. Oh boy now that's  a blog post in itself.  This is looking across the creek toward the cemetery and golf course. The building is a Catholic mausoleum.
This shot is toward the swimming pool. Needless to say, no one was out or about in the park but some tree trimmers.
They had fell a huge tree. I am not sure why it was taken down , nor what kind of tree. It did not look diseased. But if it is an ash tree, the damage is done under the bark , by the emerald  ash bore. . But it doesn't look bad from where I took this picture. The men tending to it, were taking a break. They were working when I entered the park. That's a big job too.
By the end of the day, some clouds had rolled in and I got this picture of a sun dog. Today it's sunny and bright again. Yippee. The rains are to come in any time.
I have a little paint project  for today. Hope all of you can have a nice day.  Smile, it's good for you. XO

  1. I didn't know what a sun dog was, thanks for posting. We're having a bunch of grey, cold days here. And the snow has arrived....snowing lightly today.

  5. You take such nice photos, Susie, and your hometown always looks pristine.

We had a robot call from our electric company this morning notifying us that they would be tree trimming on our property today! They're welcome to do it as we do not like being without electricity in a storm.

Hope your painting project is going well!

    1. Thank you Dewena, I do think our town is fairly clean. I really can't stand to see trash blowing about. Oh yes, we lose power in storms...I think there must be a weak wire somewhere..it's not broke but can't be found. I just painted inside the kitchen sink to make it more water proof ...sicne Ted just changed the faucet. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  6. Great shot of the sun dog. If you get any fantastic photos of clouds, please send them my way! I'm taking a cloud (painting) workshop next month, and I'm not as good of a photographer as you are!

    1. Debbie, This is an unusual winter. We had the big snow in November, then a dusting on Monday. We have had lots of frost. Due for some rain coming this way. We really don't need it. Hope you are enjoying your winter. I am already jumping ahead to thinking about spring. LOL. Bless you dear friend, love, Susie

  13. No sky pics again today - at least in my part of Texas!! All cloud cover for the most part! The sun DID come peeking through for a few minutes but I didn't have my camera with me. I wish I had the firewood that fallen tree would provide!!!

    1. Linda, Some times at the end of a cloudy day, the sun will peep thru and I just love that. I think the fellows cutting the bid for the job and they get the wood. That is going to be a lot of wood chucking and hauling.:) Hope you are relaxing. Love you, Susie

  15. I love getting a glimpse of your town through your blog.
I've never been to Indiana...and I do love to see and read about where my blogging friends live.
    Lovely town....
We never get snow here, and our winters are relatively mild (south Georgia.)
    Sending warm hugs to you,

    1. Jacket, You sound like me. I love to see the homes and the towns of my blog friends. Our town isn't very big, but it's my home town and I love it. I wish it could be the same as it was in the 60's and 70's. We still had many operating businesses. We are having rain this Friday morning and it's to turn to snow tomorrow. Blessings to you, Susie
