Took a shot of the sun thru the blinds. :) I am happy to see the sun today. Yesterday was almost too gray for me. But then I know I should just zip it....since so many of you are being hit hard with this huge storm. You are in my prayers.
I have to enjoy this wonderful blue sky today. I may venture into town , to the antique store....my chair is still there. Remember all I had to do was be good and I would have gotten that chair for Christmas...you want to know what being good did for me...I got a new faucet for the kitchen sink. LOL No kidding. I love it though.
See that glorious sun peeping over the shop? I am loving it. I am hoping the clear skies last into the night. As there will be a full moon, the Wolf Moon, tonight.
Oh my little fellow looks frozen this morning. I will check him out later to see if the sunshine can revive him. Hope so.
Be safe today everyone. Yes, it's certainly okay to drive slowly when the roads are nasty. Please. XO
Sunshine here this morning, too. That's interesting that it is called the wolf moon. I will think of that tonight when I see it. -Jenn
ReplyDeleteI think the American Indians named the full moons. Don't you just love sunshine in winter...it helps me bear the cold. Stay warm. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteBeautiful photos. xoxo Su
ReplyDeleteThank you Su. I hope you are having sunshine today too. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWe have 20 inches and it'd still snowing..6 more hours!! It's nasty..
ReplyDeleteMissy, You are certainly in my thoughts and prayers. I was hoping that storm would have just blow out to sea...not hangingaround to dump so much snow. It's pulling moisture in from the ocean too. Please be safe. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteWhat a lively and funny post! And "Wolf Moon" - what an evocative name! Thanks for sharing that tidbit, I learned something new! P.S. I hope the viola revives and that you get that chair!
ReplyDeleteHello, So glad you came by . I think American Indians named the full moons. I love to look at them every chance I can. I'll post if my viola pulls thru. Blessings to you for a great weekend, xoxo,Susie

Thank you Laurie, The sun is shining so beautifully today. I am truly loving it. Yes, it's scary what some people are going thru right now and it's going to be awhile digging them out. Blessings to you, stay warm and safe. xoxo,Susie
DeleteI know how much you love the sun! Glad it's showing its face for you today! Our skies are blue here in Texas but we were glued to the TV this morning watching all that snow along the east coast! Boggles my mind!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I do not know how the people who get those huge snows do it. It would scare me. Just weight of that much snow on the roofs is scary.I am not crazy about shoveling the drives , I sure would not want to shovel the roof. I am praying for all of them. Remember Boston had 9 feet of snow last year all thru their season. YIKES. Blessings to all of you. Love, Susie
DeleteThanks so much for visiting, Susie!! Hope you are having great weekend!!
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Debbie
Oh Debbie, I love seeing all your amazing decorations. You sure have some awesome treasures. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLovely shots with the sun shining on the snow. Hope I see that soon instead of the blowing, drifting and falling white stuff.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I am praying for you and Joe. Please do not go out...call some one if you have too. I feel like everyone's mom when the weather's like what you are having. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi sweet friend, Your landscape and sunshine looks the same as ours. We reached mid50's today and were able to walk a bit over a mile. Lots of snow on the ground still, but today helped melt it. Tomorrow the white stuff returns-ugh! Hope you have a wonderful Sunday!
ReplyDeleteHugs, Noreen
Noreen, I am thrilled to read that you got to walk about. the sun has truly melted the snows here very well. Winter came a bit late for some. We are blessed that we did not get what the east coast went thru. Blessings to all of you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHope I can write the same thing tomorrow. Looking forward to getting outside and taking lots of pictures. Keep cozy!
ReplyDeleteCarol, You and a young man named Layne are my only NYC friends....and you both have been in my thoughts the past few days. I hope you can get out soon. Just please be safe. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love sunshine on snow! You have just enough to be pretty without the hassle.
ReplyDeleteWe haven't had mail delivery in two days. But we have electricity back on today, which we lost yesterday. With temps falling to 13 tonight I'm very thankful that heat is running now!

Dewena, I am glad you have your power back....that the things that scares me...losing power. Some of the home will have tons of weight on their roofs from this snow...that is very scary also. You are in my prayers. Stay warm, blessings to all, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove the "peeking through the blinds" shot. Terrific!
ReplyDeleteHope the sun is out for you tomorrow.....and I hope your plant survived the snow.
Warm hugs,
Jackie
Thank you Jackie,I actually sat on the porch , of course I was bundled up. I walked around a bit also. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI LOVE getting things like faucets for Christmas...:) I really do.
ReplyDeleteWhat a terrible snow storm hitting DC,NY and all thru there.
BJ, I joked about the faucet...but that is what we decided on. Ted and I do not buy gifts for each other...it's usually something we need for the house. That facet was something we needed. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWishing you warmth and big hugs, Susie!!
ReplyDeleteThank you honey. I sure do hope you are did not get snowed in.That you are all safe and warm....with power. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHow wonderful it must be to see the sun. We are grateful for the day of seeing clouds... with rain falling!
ReplyDeleteI am thankful for every day truly...but oh to have a beautiful sunny day in winter is heavenly. The people of our east coast are going to suffer a few days...I pray they have power and get the snow off their roofs and the roads cleared. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful shots....and that first one with the sun is great.
ReplyDeleteWe watch the East with amazment. Stay warm and safe.
Wanda, It seems so much for the coast. I saw there was even flooding on the Jersey coast, broke my heart for those people..you know it was like hurricane Sandy all over again. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, I love that sunshine as well! Can't imagine living somewhere that has grey skies for months on end. Even when it snows in Ut it's not long before we see sunshine. Yes, some are being hit hard and I hope al are safe! Hope you get your chair. :) Went to a vintage sale today with a couple of friends. Had a fabulous time.
ReplyDeletehugs,
Jann
Jann, Sunshine in winter helps get me thru. I wish I had friends who would go to sales or junking with me. MY daughter Kathy would , but she lives over two hours away. Yes, I am still praying for the east coast, it's scary to see the waters flooding the Jersey coast..yet again. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, doesn't the sun feel good after a few days of snow? It is sunny here this week, but this weekend supposed to rain again. The sun looks beautiful peeking its head through all the snow in this picture, Susie. I have a blog friend in Philadelphia, and she is experiencing heavy snow right now. In some areas, they are calling it a monster storm.

Sheri, It can be bitter cold and seeing the sun shining makes me not dread winter so badly. I think this last snow storm has been crazy...dumping almost 4 feet of snow in places and a few inches in others. A friend in Boston said they got 6 inches and last year , remember they had 9 feet of snow for the season. Holy cow.....where to start digging? The sad part is how some people lost their lives...breaks my heart. We hada cloudy day today and will have rain soon. Hope you do not have too much rain. Blessings, xoxo, love you, Susie
DeleteI see you had the sun last Saturday too! It was a beautiful day wasn't it!
