Pictures From Last Weekend....

You know where these  pictures were taken. LOL. I love the old mirror. Never ever throw away an old mantle. Hortons   uses theirs  in so many of their decorating displays. I just now spotted the little white pitchers hang from the mantle...will have to go back and check them out.
I love these lamps. I wanted you to see the framed wire , where pictures are hung. Cute idea for crafters.
Grapevine spheres hanging from an old ladder.  I think the old the ladder for decorating , the better.
This serving spoon says"The Sweet Life" on it. This makes me think it's s dish and spoon for serving after dinner mints.. Do people do that any more?
There's a wreath hanging from the china cabinet. It appears to be a bent hanger, in a heart shape,  with bits of  cloth rags tied to it, along with some ribbons...sweet. I think we all could make one of these.
What I liked about this tiny cabinet was the candle pedestals. They would be so nice in vignettes , placing some things a bit higher to be seen.
This half barrel is at the side door of Horton's and always decorated.  I really liked this, with it's colorful pansies , teacup/saucer, and small garden flag. I think there's a tiny evergreen to the back. So pretty.
Wishing all of you a beautiful St. Patty's day.  If you are Irish, be happy...it you are not Irish, today you can pretend to be. :):)  XO

  1. They do the best displays at Horton;s don't they? I loved going over each photo and seeing all the delightful touches added here and there. I loved that darling idea of hanging the pitchers that way. How clever is that?
I hope all is wonderful with you Susie and have a Happy St. Patrick's Day!

    1. Thank you June. Thanks for the hugs too. I get to Hortons and start taking pictures and then when I get home, I see more things in them than I did at the time. June you would truly love the Hortons...they are a sweet Christian family, so kind and helpful. Wishing you and yours a glorious spring. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

Wonderful ideas and so many pretty things. How do you not take it all home with you? How do you not take up squatter's rights and live there? Happy St Pat's Day to you, too! Is your grass green? Ours sure is and its much nicer today- not as windy as yesterday.

    1. Tete, I have tried to curb my impulse spending...it's hard...but I have way too much stuff. I need to work at hobby-lobby so I could get my fill of looking at things. LOL. Yes, today I just said to Ted...look how green the lawns are in just a few nice days. LOL. Ted says he will be getting the mower ready in a week or so. Hope you feel better this evening. Blessings to you sweet friend, xoxo,Susie

  7. I wish I had one of those fireplaces for my own home, Susie. When we downsized and moved into our home, there was no fireplace and we still have to put one in. What lovely things on display here. I love the spoon that says "the sweet life."

Happy St. Patrick's Day! I wore green today hehehe.

  10. That mirror is awesome. Is it for sale? I also love, among so many other things the ladder and spoon. I think I have room for ladder at the lake. I've bypassed a few ladders as I thought there would be no room here in the city. Silly me.

    Love your Horton's posts! :)

    1. Blondie, I'll check to see if there's a price on the mirror. I have seen old ladders leaned against a wall, holding magazines or towels. Or suspended with pots and pans hanging from them. . What good ideas. Hope you do not get much snow...if it snows ...the weather...making me crazy. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  14. I always love a barrel full of flowers and also like the candle pedestals. I am on the lookout for some wooden hearts about the size of my fist to hang with ribbons in the bathroom. I'm sure there is a bit of Irish in me somewhere. For sure, there is some Scotch and Scotland is next to Ireland.

    1. Nonnie, Do you have a hobby-lobby near you...you may be able to find some hearts there. Oh I bet the Irish and Scotch are mixed here and there. :):) I love them both and like to hear their accents. Hope you can get some pretty flowers too. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
