Start To Finish.....

The sun rise shining thru the office window. Let's get this day started. Went to bingo with my sisters. Had a fun time. Grabbed some lunch, brought it home to eat.
By now it noon. Throw in a load of laundry then go outside. I decided to clean out the remaining flowerbeds.
These are our birdhouse churches. Yes birds go to church. :):)
This is the backyard. You can see the big wood box we keep at the back door for easy access to wood thru the winter. It gets filled many times throughout the season. It's time for it to be hauled to the wood pen.
The fenced in area is the wood pen. You can see that pile of yard debris . That's  the burn spot. We burn our yard trash there, not paper, plastic ,or garbage...just flower stalks, limbs, and leaves. We have recycling picked up for house trash. Ted was amazed at how much I had in the burn area. LOL
Now evening has arrived. I loved the pink cast on this big puffy cloud.
The end of the day brought us a beautiful sunset. Yesterday was pleasant and turned out to be a good work day for me. I felt tired but happy about things looking better around the yard.
Today, I will finish some other chores around here...such as laundry...who is wearing all these clothes? Do you ever ask yourself that?   Where I picked up lunch yesterday, the manager asked me what I was going to do after lunch..when I said laundry she laughed and said she always has laundry. Then tells me 3 of her grandkids live with her. Yes, I bet she has unending laundry. I do remember those days of having four daughter at home. :):) Talk about laundry !!!! Of course they helped me plenty.
Enjoy your weekend . Be safe. XO

    1. Kuni, I think I need to touch up the paint on the bird churches a bit. They are getting rusty and I like that but I do not want them to fall apart. Blessings for a fun day, xoxo, Susie

    1. Kay, That big wood box at the back door was my idea. My husband would carry in about 4 wheel barrows of wood and carry to the basement , then carry back up for the fires. I told him he was handling the wood too much. LOL. so it's at the back door and we can carry it in as we need it. We have a small box by the fireplace and fill it for thru the night. Works so much better. Ted put the big box in the fenced in area thru summer...don't have to look at it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. Sounds like a great day to me. But wasn't it cold working outside? I don't like yard work when it's cold. The sunset is beautiful. We do laundry here every day. There are only two of us so yes, I wonder, who is wearing all those clothes? Have a great weekend. And oh yes, I like those little bird houses.

  7. Wonderful photos and your yard looks so good! Loving it! Ha on laundry...and I have no idea who wears all those clothes! They leave piles all over my house. Just when I think I have it all caught up, bam- the hoppers are full again...must be dirty laundry fairies.

    1. Tete, You made me laugh about the clothes..Ted says he thinks people break into our home and wear our clothes. LOL. Our grass is greening well , except for these nimblewill spots...that the lawn man will tend to soon. You know I think we have once again gotten lucky...no snow here today. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  11. Susie, your yard is looking so lovely! We aren't allowed to burn here so I fill both garbage cans each week wit yard clean up. Worked out all day today. It was beautiful weather and I planted some lettuce and onions. I only have two small areas to clean up and then it will be all done. Such a good feeling! The sunset is beautiful. I do small loads of laundry every other day for hubs and I. Hate letting it pile up. :)

    1. Jann, Being outside the city limits , burning is allowed if not a big pile of tires ..you know things with in reason...but personally I wish all burning of trash in the U.S. would be banned. I am shock you have planted some garden veggies. Wow, you must be in more spring like conditions than we are. It's got cold last night but sunny this morning. :):) You know I always love coming by your blog and seeing the things you display , the things you make or create...you are so good with your collections. Bless your heart, xoxo, Susie

  14. You are a busy gal yet I smile as you seem to take it all with a grain of salt. I never enjoyed laundry The smaller my kids were, the more work it was with each piece was so tiny and though the load looked small, it took forever to fold! The washing and drying was no problem for me. Bringing it upstairs, folding and putting away is were I slacked off and let it pile up!! :(

Keep posting those pretty open skies, Susie. They lift my spirits! :)

    1. Hi Blondie, If my washer/dryer were up stairs I would not mind laundry so much. I have to tell this...once when shopping for a new washer, a sales lady told me that washing clothes in cold water shocked them ...I could not get away from her fast enough..I did laundry for my four daughters and myself and used cold water and I not see anything different than the clothes being clean. LOL I do have a rule...I do not turn socks or undies or got thru pockets...so I have washed many things in my lifetime. :):) Blessings, , enjoy your spring honey. xoxo,Susie
