Then it will look like this. This bed is by the flag pole bed. I need to thin this one . But it is smelling so good and the bees are loving it.
The lilies are in bloom and look so pretty.
I love this yellow one and wish I had more of them.
This is the west side of the house I have thought of moving all these lilies to the fence line and plant some short things in this flower bed.
Up front the bushes are looking for a trim. You know I am good at butchering things. LOL. The potted petunia is looking pretty.
The flowers seem to be getting a bit fuller now. I keep moving the chairs around on the porch . :)
The first bloom on Kathy's rose bush. It's a deep salmon color. Kathy will have a birthday soon, so it's appropriate that this rose should bloom.
Here's the last flower of our clematis for this year. It was a true beauty for a few weeks and I enjoyed it . Summer is almost officially here. We will have a full moon when summer arrives. Wishing all of you a great weekend. Please be safe. XO
Good Morning Susie, I am trying to catch up with my friends this morning. I am having a busier summer then I originally thought
ReplyDeletewith two boys part of the time instead of one. I like your flowers. Try to stay cool. Hugs and Prayers from your Missouri Friend Shirley
Shirley, I know you love your grandsons and enjoy your time with them..some times we do not realize how much work is involved with helping out...but being mom and grandma we do it. Blessings to you,Shirley. xoxo, Susie
DeletePretty flowers...hope you are staying cool...it's pretty hot here so I am trying to stay inside but I sure love being outside....
ReplyDeletestay cool. xo
BJ, I know when it's so hot you can even enjoy a cool drink outside...what a pain. I love being out when I can...it seems we have to stay in so much of winter. Be careful in the heat dear friend, xoxo, blessings, Susie
DeleteBeautiful flowers.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, Will you give Bob a big hug from all of us here, for father's day? Wishing you both a great weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIvy is so pretty, but it can be destructive too. But those ground covers do a wonderful job of spreading and filling in...
ReplyDeleteOh please don't thin them out, while the bees are making use of them!!! We need to help our bees, as much as we can.
I don't want to cut dandelions anymore... After reading that they are the bees first "food." :-)
Ahhh yes, The Full Moon is nearly upon us. And The Lady Moon is being quite a Bi*ch, this month. Some times she is simply beautiful. Other times, she has her panties in a twist. This is one of those times. ,-)))))
Tessa
"She is off with the faeries..."
Tessa, I will leave that flower bed alone while all the sweet flowers are feeding the bees. I also saw where a flower I tore out last year came back and I will leave it for the little flying things, they seem to love it. I see them on the queen anne's lace too. Enjoy your weekend, Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou really do have a green thumb. Beautiful flowers. I love that the Rose will bloom for Kathy. I went out early yesterday to pull weeds and prune roses and realize I probably will be in for the rest of the summer. It's HOT!
ReplyDeleteNonnie, As you know how very sad my roses looked...well that rose of Kathy truly tries to live beyond my care. While I am thinking of it, I need to go dust it for insects. When my daughter moved from her house to an apartment I took her rose for her. Now she is in a house again...but I think she wants me to keep her rose. I hope I can keep it alive for some more years. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
Deletep.s. it's plenty warm here too.
Hi Susie, You have so many pretty things growing/thriving in your yard. The color of Kathy's rose is so lovely. Our temps were slightly cooler today with a breeze - it felt wonderful! Wishing you a very nice weekend. Love, Mildred
ReplyDeleteHi Mildred, So glad you are having good temperatures. A breeze sure helps on those hot days around here. I hope to get a picture of that rose again. Blessings to you for a great weekend. xoxo,Love, Susie
DeleteI loved seeing your yard. It's so pretty. You keep it so well. I'd love to just spend some time with you there.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I sat on the porch writing yesterday and thought, everything looks so nice right now it would be good to have company. LOL. You know that not everything falls in to sync ...so it was nice a relaxing. Hope you did not over heat mowing your yard. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou have such a beautiful array of flowers and plants, Susie! I appreciate all the work and time it takes to keep a yard looking so nice. Thank you for sharing these pretty photos! Blessings, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteCindy, I don't do as much as I used too around here. I just can't crawl around on the ground planting like when we first moved here. LOL. Getting old. So I love having plants that do not need too much care. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThe flowers are so lovely around your home, Susie. I really like the color of the orange lilies. I've never seen one like that. I have the yellow lilies in my front yard and was going to change them out, but I'm starting to like them more. :) You and Ted really keep your lawn and flower beds up. They look very nice.
ReplyDelete~Sheri
Sheri, I really like those yellow lilies...they aren't as tall as the day lilies. But I only have one. I want my daughter to get lots of them for her yard...it was just pop next to her blue siding. :) Ted and I need to work with the area around our shed. It has become over grown in the flower bed. Too many weeds from bird seed that is suppose to be sterile. Grrr. Ted really trimmed the driveways and walks good this time. I do the planting and weeding mostly. He mows and takes care of the flag. We both have to work together, I say many hands make light work. LOL. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love all your beautiful flowers and how nice and tidy your yard looks! I paid our yard guy extra to trim up some bushes for me. I usually butcher things up pretty badly! Now that the Texas heat has hit, if I cut something down too much, I stand in danger of losing it!
ReplyDeleteWill be interesting to see if my flowers have survived since we have been gone this week!
Linda, I am not the best shrub trimmer. lOL.. I have to step back and look at what is happening. I am just a bit put out when I buy something from a nursery and it says it is a dwarf plant...yet is isn't. There's no way I would have plant such a big shrub up front like that birdnest. :) I hope your flowers made it...maybe a neighbor looking in twice or three times a week could help. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
