Second Post Today.....

I just could not stand it....not having many shots of the new clothing line at Horton's . So I went back to the store this morning. Bless Karen's heart, she said it was okay for me to take some things off the rack for pictures.  This one was already hanging on this screen door. This is my favorite. A plaid scarf, soft orange flowy jacket , over a ruffle trimmed shift top.  Wish I had tried that jacket on. :):)
A plaid top/ jacket  lined in stripes.  No pinching at the shoulders...know what I mean ladies?
Floral and ecru lace tunic tops.  Stripes with lace down the sleeve...in a logan green.
I absolutely loved both of these top/dresses...If you are tall they would be long tops...if you are 5 '4" or shorter, these would make cute dresses. The black one is lace overlay. This  one comes in light coral and white also.
Oh now where are my bell bottoms. LOL. Just kidding. This is the sweetest crocheted top. Can be worn over any color and look good.
Some of these clothes have tons of sewing...just look at the seams of this.
   Here's the cute dress in coral(peach ?)
This is one of the brands ( umgee)   This is actually on a vest of sheer material trimmed in laces. A bit of a vest that could glam up an everyday shirt.
This is the label on the crocheted top.   ( Blu Pepper)
Why do stripes make me think of Paris?? Could it be Coco's influence.?  Well dear friends, this post goes with my previous post from earlier this morning. Hope you enjoy them both.
Thanks to Horton's for always being so kind as to let me take photos and post about the store . They are awesome people. XO

  7. Hi there, So Susie I thought Hortons was just a home store and now I find out they have clothes too? Is it like a Kohl's or another big store, or small like a boutique. We have a cute store here called Fine and Funky which carries a lot of similar type clothing. I love tunic tops! Thanks for sharing.

    1. Noreen, Horton's is a family own hardware store...that is now what I call an emporium. They have hardware, paints, custom blinds, a greenhouse, and the owner's Mrs....has added the clothing and crafty things. It's a great place to find gifts, that's for sure. Good Christian family owned. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Tete, Now that I have a few extra pounds...I like the loose fitting clothes. LOL I do not dress up as much as I use too when I could wear cuter shoes..I have major shoes envy when I see cute heels and flats and funky boots. LOL Getting old kind of sucks but beats the alternative. Enjoy your weekend. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Sheri, I may see if Horton's will order another orange top if this one gets sold this weekend. I was to go to town with my daughters to the Pork Festival...but had a drs. appointment instead. I needed to get in about my meds. But the girls came out for coffee and dessert after they walked thru the fest and the stores up town. We had a wonderful visit. Angie came here with one of those cute tops from Horton's she was wearing it. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

I thought the Horton's might order one for me if it's too small.I don't know how that works in a store like Horton's. :):) My daughter came over yesterday with one of those flowy tops on. LOL Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  17. I too remember crocheted tops. I also remember that not only did they go with any color shirt, but sometimes, back in the '70s, they were sometimes worn with no shirt at all. Ah,those were the days.

    1. Hi Su, I think with the right leggings those shorter tops still would look good on a tall person. I really liked the lacey dresses in white and black....they look like they could be "go to " pieces. I love strips. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  21. Those are gorgeous!!!!! What's the price range?

    ReplyDelete

    1. Hi Peggy. I honestly just saw the price of two things The jackets were 35 and a top was 24. But if they are not your everyday things...that's not a bad price. I do not spend large on clothing any more. But do not mind buying an unusual piece. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
