Seems We Need Some Prayers...

This is just to show we are cold here. No big snow like so many are having in our country. The wind cleared spots.
The sun has been shining. It can lift your spirits but it is not making anything warm.  I am amazed at the how far south the cold and snows have gone.
This is who I would like for you to say some prayers to help. My big brother , George. This is him and his family of girls. He is waiting in the hospital for his meds to leave his system(Plavix). He will be having a 3 way by pass.  George is a good husband and father. Served 28 years in the U.S. army.  Heart disease runs in our family. Mom had open heart surgery many years ago. Two brothers have had some by passes. Now our big brother. Thank you for your kind prayers.
This is my daughter Liz and old Sam, the dog. She had him at the vets. yesterday morning at 7:00 a.m.  . He had his surgery and the vet thinks it was a tumor formed from a tooth that never grew thru his gum when he was younger. The vet said he should be fine....but then there that biopsy to see yet.  Thank you to all who prayed for our pet. He got to come home..but was somewhat loopy then. I will know more later today.
I feel as if we are always praying...what about our nation? Why? I have been thinking of and praying  for those caught in that terrible shooting at the airport.  Will you please send good thoughts their way? Be safe . XO

  1. Just said a prayer for your brother, Susie...and his family! Sometimes NOT being the patient is worse than being the one with the problem...it is so scary to watch those we love suffer.

That shooting was so awful in FL. Just hard to believe that he checked that gun through and then went into the bathroom and loaded it once he had landed. You wonder where/when/how it is all going to end. I hope we get some big changes in the next few weeks, months, and years.
Have a good weekend and stay warm. xo Diana

  3. Just saw that one of those killed in Fort Lauderdale airport was a grandmother from Cobb County, Georgia...praying for her family and for all those who lost loved ones.
Praying for your brother, George and his family also.

  4. I am glad to hear Sam the dog came through surgery well. Your brother will be fine. If there is one thing that modern medicine does well, it's hearts. I think they have all the stints and bypasses and valves down to a fine art now. My thoughts are with you, him, and his family. -Jenn

    1. Thank you Jenn. When our mother had her surgery, her specialist said they can do a heart surgery as easy as taking out an appendix. That was 30 years ago. I feel that George is where he needs to be at this time. I am going to do a post on how he got to this point. Blessings, xoxo, stay warm , Susie

    1. Thank you Sissie. I know there is great power in prayer and the more people praying the better I like it. Who among us doesn't need it? There seems to be something we all need help on. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  7. Prayer needs are great and without end. I pray your brother has successful bypass surgery, and I pray for the safety of our President Elect. Your prayers for me and my sons are requested as we miss my husband who died in November.

  8. it's wonderful that we live in a time when, if the problem is caught, things can be fixed. One of John's friends, same age as John, was found in his own yard. He did not have diagnosed heart trouble, but his older brothers did so they are benefitting from intervention and our friend is in Glory. Guess that is an intervention of another sort.

I kind of grinned at the thought of a loopy dog. Glad that all is well. Stay warm out there!

  9. Hi dear Susie ~ Will be in prayer for your brother, as I understand that quite well. My dearest had 5 bypasses 20 years ago, a stent several years later, and a few year ago a pacemaker. Heart problems in his family too. Maybe were not as fortunate as Don. He lived, and they said the bypasses could last 10 yrs and it's been 20. Don is one of the few people in the world that is allergic to plavix and had to wear the med. alert braclet.
Oh my heart breaks for those in the shooting and the families of the fallen.
Glad Sam is doing better, hoping for complete healing, and no bad biopsy. Hugs.

  13. Saying a prayer for your brother, George, Susie. And so glad Sam came through his surgery too. What a cute picture of him and Liz. At first I thought that was you! Do people tell you that you look alike? Your snow is so pretty. Guess what? It snowed in Georgia where Nel lives right now, and she said the schools are closed. It's not a big snow, but enough to make the roads slippery. You can see some of her snow pics on Wed.

Susie, I hope your brother will be ok. I know how close you are to your family. Sending loving thoughts and comfort, dear friend.

    1. Sheri, Thank you for your prayers. My brother is in the best place to be while waiting for his surgery. Everyone's prayers have helped old Sam. Liz was just sending me a text saying Sam has been resting today and not whining . He actually ate well too. I bet Nel never thought she'd see snow in Georgia. I have been thinking of you and worried about all the rains coming to your state. I fear too much rain more that winds or snows. Please stay safe .Use caution at all times. Blessings to all of you. Love you sweet girl, xoxo, Susie

    1. Diane, Thank you so much. When I am praying I ask God to give extra hugs to those suffering. Doesn't it seem more and more need those extra hugs. My family is a big family, so there is always something going on with relatives and the families. My brother is safe right there in the hospital. I think he will feel brand new once those blockages are opened. Blessings to you and yours, xoxo, Susie

  15. I have just said a prayer for your brother, Susie. It seems I am in almost continual prayer these days with so much going on. The shooting was horrific and my heart goes out to the victim's families and those injured. The world has changed so much and I often wonder if we'll ever feel really safe again. I pray so.
It's bitterly cold here, too. We've only had a wee bit of snow, though.
Take care and have a nice Sunday!
