What's In Your Wallet????

I think sometimes this is how the kids see my wallet. LOL.  Actually my grandkids do not ask for too many things for Christmas. Thank goodness :):) I treat all the children and grandchildren the same. Now here's the thing...what do I do about  the extra kids coming into our lives.  Fiancees , boyfriends, and girlfriends of the grandkids??? Seems no one wants socks any more. LOL. Just kidding about that. I have thought about gift certificates for an eating place...hey all kids like to eat.
Everyone, I want to thank you for your prayers and kind words for my sister Brenda. She is staying at my sister Jeanie's for a few days. She will be getting some out patient treatments soon. I will tell more about those later...it's almost space age stuff.  xoxoxo.

  1. Joe and I send money to grandkids only. We do not give gifts to anyone else. I exchange a small ornament with my sister. I bake and give food gifts to neighbors and friends. We feel the true spirit of Christmas is lost in all that shopping so we don't. Many of my friends think me odd but that is okay. I wish you a lovely weekend Susie.

  2. I liked your idea of coffee mugs and homemade mixes.....or put a gift certificate or package of coffee in the mug.

  3. Susie,
I am facing the same thing as you are trying to figure out what to get the son-in-law, Jess' boyfriend, etc. Now that Nel is married, I have one more person to think of. I'm almost done with my Christmas shopping, except for my son. He is hard to shop for because he never asks for anything haha. Have a warm and cozy weekend. It is raining hard here, but I don't mind...I love the rain.

  4. I'm glad there is a plan for Brenda. There are so many things medicine can do these days.

We have a family of readers! If I am at a loss for a gift, a gift card to the bookstore is always a good choice.

Sending wishes to you for a good week-end.

  8. Sorry about your sister, Susie. I hope she is doing okay! Last year we went to drawing names with the exception of the grandchildren. I think they like the gift cards. I'm thinking that we should all exchange something we make. Blessings, Susie!

  11. Sorry to hear about your sister, I'll be sure to pray for her total recovery. Good point about what to get for "new" family members! I think everyone would love restaurant gift cards, or Starbucks! I still love getting socks too:)

  12. Hi Susie,
Thank you for your sweet comment over at my little blog. I am all thumbs right now, and haven't got a clue if there's a right and wrong side when I turn my crochet work. Ha-haaa, it will be a while before I show anything recognizable!
Loved the bank vault pic. When my kids grew up and left the nest, we all decided to stop trying to guess what to give each other for Christmas. Instead, we all just get together for a big family dinner. But I think your idea for gift cards for food is a good one! :)
Hugs to you & yours (with extra hugs for your sister),
    Zuzu
