I saw Donna Reyne' at Horton's on Saturday. This is what I bought from her booth. Four denim place matts with pockets that held a handy napkin.
The backside of the placemats were made of burlap. Donna is a fine seamstress.
I bought lots of beautiful cards and envelopes. Some are Parisian prints.
This is Savannah and I at my daughter Angie's.
This is the treat that Savannah and her mommy Karen, brought to me from the Earth Festival. Some pumpkin roll, that I shared with Teddy Bear. So nice to be thought about. :) I have not picked up the plant stand from Horton's that I bought. I'll have to show it another time.
Hope all of you had a wonderful weekend. Wishing all a beautiful week of pretty fall weather. XO
Love the place mats, and those cards! They are so pretty. Pumpkin roll looks good and it is nice when they remember you and bring you something back...nice of you to share with Ted. He has been working hard. LOL- Loving this weather! We all had a day together yesterday and spent it with the tummy flu! Beat that! Oh, well. It happens. I just can't believe that stuff is going around already. This might not be a good winter. Hoping we got it out of the way early.
ReplyDeleteTete, So sorry to read abut your tummy flu. It's awful that things are going around already. My daughter has a cold from some one in her class. ...she said some kids have been sick already. I am praying for a long fall season...because I have been dreading the thought of winter . It would be nice to have a mild winter. Take care of yourself. Bless you, xoxox,Susie
ReplyDeleteI love the denim placemats, Susie, and so many colors of dishes will look pretty on them.
ReplyDeleteOh, that pumpkin roll looks good!
Dewena, I have blue trim on my dishes...so I thought these would look great. That pumpkin roll was way too sweet. But good. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteAhhhh. Pumpkin roll! I look forward to pumpkin cheesecake and pumpkin fudge and pumpkin lattes and pumpkin frappe at Starbucks. I love the Fall.
ReplyDeletePatty, The thing my daughters and I always loved in the fall was pumpkin bread and ice cream. Such fun memories for us. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
Deletesuch clever and beautiful placements,, I like that!!!
ReplyDeleteYou and your granddaughter are so pretty,, that pumpkin roll looks wonderful, I had that once and it was very good!
Lauire, I thought a person could just cut up some old jeans and make similar mats. These are so nice. Thank you for you kind compliment. I will tell Savannah, as I am working on her self esteem. Bless you, Susie
DeleteSusie,
ReplyDeleteThe placemats are so cute. That pumpkin roll looks yummy. Glad you had such a great time.
Kris
Kris, The weekend was kind of scrambled up , but work out okay. I shared the slice of pumpkin roll with Ted , wish I had given it all to him. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteSounds like you had a great Saturday at Horton's! Love that pumpkin roll! xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I have never made a pumpkin roll in my life nor a jelly roll either. I was a bake a cake in the 9x13 pan kind of mommy. some thing quick and easy , because I worked about all the time I was raising my daughters. I remember the first time my mom made a pineapple upside down cake. She had no cherries, just some brown sugar and pineapples...she baked it in her iron skillet...it was heavenly to all of us kids. We do what we have to do at times , don't we? Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat pumpkin roll looks amazing, Susie. That's nice that you shared it with Ted. It's so BIG. You got lots of goodies at Horton's. I really like the cards and envelopes, especially the Paris ones. This is a cute picture of you and Savannah. : ) She's getting so grown up.
ReplyDeletelove, ~Sheri
Sheri, My Savannah is growing up. Her mommy was always a tom-boy type...so Karen does know how to advise Savannah on styling so much. So I try to give her tips, as , never wear your hair down in your face , it's a sign of low self esteem in her age group....I do not want her to hide her sweet face and those blue eyes of hers. Now Emma is always styling, don't you know. LOL. Blessings, love you, Susie
DeleteLove seeing you and Savannah! That pumpkin roll - oh, that pumpkin roll!!!
ReplyDeleteLinda, I shared that roll with Ted, but geezoo, I should have given him the whole thing. But my daughter and g.daughter were thinking of me when they bought it and that did touch my heart.:):) Hope all is well there. Love you guys so much,. Susie
DeleteWhat a great photo of you and Savannah! You did find some treasures but I want the pumpkin roll! :) It's been a long time since I made one.

Lynne, I truly miss Donna too. She is the reason I have a blog, you know. She is still very beautiful and busy as a hive of bees. She has two grandkids now and loving it. I met her brother on Saturday. She said he did her new roof. Her home is a total make over with all the same materials, cause that house was her grandparents. She is a wonderful person too. I love stationary so much, because I still write letters and cards to old friends and family. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI love Donna's things. You made some great purchases. I missed both events this time. Hopefully next time!
ReplyDeleteHi Patty, One day I hope I run into you while we are going to events. I need to go thru the shops in Noblesville again. It's been a while since I have done that. Yes, Donna has a special eye for decorating. She truly is a sweet person too. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteNice placemats, Susie.. Love the pockets! I wish we had a Hortons here! It looks like a fun place to visit. Lots of fun things. Nice purchases. Have a wonderful evening!
ReplyDeleteMissy, The placemats came with some hankies for napkins...I thought it was a cute idea. Works for everyday lunches . I love using cloth napkins...although my husband would just use a paper towel. most times. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI especially like the place mats. I'm on the lookout for new ones and these would be so cute for the fall.
ReplyDeleteCarol, I never have fancy dinners or lunches any more...so I just use some old place mat or holiday ones I have . I always have pretty paper napkins and I like using my cloth ones. I like the pocket idea...utensils could also be places in the pocket. :):) Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
Deletep.s. I may need my mittens with a cold front coming thru.:):)
