Here's my new plant stand. I bought it at Horton's about 3 weeks ago. I left it for the young girl to keep her displays on. I did not want to disturb her set up for her booth.
So yesterday, I picked it up . It is now on the porch. The cream color works with The things I painted cream and I love it. I see some little dents in it. I'll try to work those out. Aren't those wheels so sweet?
A young fellow has taken over an old building in town and turn it into a market of sorts, plus some second hand things and party favor stuff. I love the assortment of pumpkins and gourds.
There all sizes of mums , some hay bales too. Corn stalks. You can get your fall outside décor there. You can buy paper plates, napkins and table cloths for parties here. Plastic utensils. I am not sure if the fellow is still having auctions in the back of the building . He was having them every Wednesday. Auctioning used items and antiques. I never go to auctions...afraid I would buy something I did not mean too. :):)
We had some rain yesterday. The ground soaked it up and the deck's new finish beaded up, the rain.
That was nice.
Hope your Wednesday is good. Thinking of those having way too much rain along the coast. Please keep them in your prayers. XO
Oooh, I just love it, Susie! I can see it changed out with the seasons. Filled with little pumpkins and mums now, then greenery and pinecones at Christmas. Then filled with pretty spring flowers. What a lucky find!!
ReplyDeleteHi Donna, I just kind of fell in love with that stand. It was only 25 dollars. I could kick my own bottom for not asking about the windmill blade that was used in a display...I went back to ask and it was gone. It was so nice. I have to get some cute things to put on this stand now. LOL more shopping !! Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI just love your plant stand. Dents are good for the vintage look! I am anxious to take the drive to a farm market about an hour away to get some of their funky gourds. I need to start decorating for Fall!
ReplyDeleteAnnMarie, maybe the dents won't even show with all the plants in place. :):) Hope you get some cute gourds and at a good price. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteVery cute plant stand! I didn't even see it there.
ReplyDeleteCindy Bee
Cindy, The lady had hid it back on Saturday. She said she had ladies squabbling over some of the furniture she had. Oh my. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your new plant stand! I can see it with pumpkins, gourds and mums to celebrate fall.
ReplyDeleteKathy, I thought of buying some wee mums and white pumpkins to put on it . Christmas decor will be fun come Dec. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteNice plant stand and what a wonderful display of pumpkins.
ReplyDeleteJanet, It rained on those pumpkin yesterday, so I know they are all clean today. I always like the corn stalks around light poles. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe cart looks really cute,,
ReplyDeletea friend of mine has the very same cart and she has filled with all sorts of displays over the years and she brings it in every winter,, its wonderful!
The place with the pumpkins and things sounds wonderful!
Laurie, I put some of those little sweater pumpkins on it and some little knick/knack things. I think I will enjoy this little cart so much. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour plant stand is very nice. There are lots of things you can use it for.
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that you got all that rain, Susie. And it didn't mess up your new deck? I wish California would get some of that rain. We really need it.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, We dod not get near enough rain....but then again, it's so close to harvest time...lots going on...we do not need the rain to stop the farmers. The east coast is in a mess...too much rain. There's where I wish the rain was lighter and that the west coast could have some of it. Hope you get some rain soon. Blessings, love you, Susie
DeleteI love the little flower cart! That was so nice of you to let her use it for awhile in her booth until she could get it re done.
ReplyDeleteSeems we got the same amount of rain. Glad we are not on the coast- have some blogging friends who are.
They are out there in the fields this afternoon. Can you believe it? I am hoping this harvest goes by fast- so bored already.
That is so funny that the 3 of us all made meat loaf yesterday! It was so good!
I think this cart will be fun to change up every season. I know you are ready for harvest to be over there. Ours is just starting...although the neighbor is doing well with his. We need a lot more rain...can you believe after all the flood like rains thru spring and early summer...we are like in draught conditions now. But I'd like to see more harvesting done before the rains come. Poor east coast...our rain has not been making sense this year...too little and way too much. I took a picture of how I make our meatloaf all in the same dish, with potatoes and carrots. Bless you dear friend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteCute little cart Susie....I had one like that years ago. Gosh can't remember what happened to it, must have sold it at a garage sale. Thanks for stopping by today.
ReplyDeleteLouise, I have sold things and years later..should have kept that. LOL Hope you are doing well. It has cooled off a bit here. Easier to sit outside now. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your plant stand, Susie! We went to some auctions a few years ago. You are right! We always seemed to buy something!:-) xo Nellie
ReplyDeleteNellie, I have been to the Kruse Auctions in northern Indiana. They auction high dollar cars. The beatle's Bentley, Elvis' corvette, Lucky Lusiano's big crime car. Lots of serious sellers and buyers. It was always fun to watch. No , I never bought anything there. Hope you are having some cool down. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteI LOVE your little plant stand! Me, being me, I'd just leave the dents in it and enjoy the character they add to the sweet piece! Enjoy the days ahead! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteCindy, everyone seems to think the little blemishes are okay, so I may just leave the stand as is. Hope you are doing well. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie. My mother had a little plant stand like that back in the 60s. She kept it in the kitchen window and it was full of African violets. She worked magic with them.
ReplyDeleteLove the pumpkin place-sounds like a fun place to visit.
Hope you are doing well-it is good to be back to visiting and blogging again- xo Diana
Hi Diana, I had seen these carts before, many years ago...but one I saw this all painted up and looking cute, I wanted it for the deck we stained this year. I didn't bother to put my new porch rug down, I'll just wait till spring. We are ok here and I pray things are good there with you. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove the stand. Fill it with pumpkins and fall fixings and it will be even nicer.
ReplyDeleteLOL, I aleready have that little cart loaded.Too funny. I just made some more of those cloth pumpkins and found a few odd things in the house. It's good to go. Blessings to you and your family, xoxo,Susie
DeleteBeautiful cart Susie. I know you will have fun decorating this with all the holidays.
ReplyDeleteHappy Friday and have a great week end.
Kris
Kris, I wish I had your good decorating eye and not to mention all your energy...I would decorate like mad. LOL. So far I just have those cloth pumpkins...no real ones or gourds either. I have not even taken my scarecrows out. They could use a new dress, I am sure. Have a great weekend, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYou have another good place to visit. I'm jealous.
ReplyDeleteHi Peggy, wish you lived close by, I would take you with me to the stores. It would be fun. Hope you are doing well. It's chilly here today...hoping for a very long enjoyable fall season. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

DeleteOh I love it Susie. i can just imagine what you'll do with it. Hope you're not getting as much rain as we are. We got a little over 4 inches yesterday in an hour and a half and plenty more to come. I feel so bad for the ones on the East Coast and praying for them. Hugs and love, xo
ReplyDeleteSusie, I am worried for all of you with that much rain. Please be safe. I am praying for those that are predicted to get up to 20 inches of rain !! un real. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
