The sun is rising on the road out front of our house. I always love seeing this. Can't tell it is rising on the road until I go for the paper.
You can see it hitting the tree tops.. No wind the flag is just hanging straight down.
I trimmed this purple plum bush and the weeping cherry tree in front of it.
This orange mum is in full bloom and so pretty.
The little ford truck is hauling some fake flowers on the porch.
I stuck some fake flowers in the containers with the greenery that is real.
I put out the wreath that I bought for a dollar at a rummage sale. It still looks great.
More fake flower in the spike plant.
Another trimmed tree. This one is the red bud, it has a strange shape, I just trim off the hanging down branches, so Ted can mow without ducking.
Then more fake flowers in the potato vine container. I lost most of the spring flowers I bought due to the rabbits. So I just brought out the fake ones rather than fight with the bunnies. It is really looking like fall around here. The farmers are harvesting some of their beans. The tomato trucks go by the DQ corner again on their way to the Red Gold canning plants in a couple of towns east of here. We laugh because we see where if the trucks turn too fast there will be tomatoes in the street. Ted says the restaurants in the area pick them up. :):) He is kidding, of course.
I ask for prayers today for my brother Tom, he is having a heart procedure. I will be with my family today. Wishing all of you a good day and thanking you for the prayers. XO
Your Mums are incredible, prayers for your brother, hope all goes well.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much. My brother's surgery was cancelled till Friday as the surgeon 's 1st surgery of the day ran way too long and he told my brother 1st thing Friday. Maybe brain and heart surgeries should be one a day for the doctors. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThat is a gorgeous sunrise. Sunrise always reminds me that God's mercies are new every morning. And I'm so thankful for that. Have a blessed day my friend :)!
ReplyDeleteI love to see the sun rise and set. Or just peak thru on a cloudy day.. If it is just for a second when I lift my face to the sky, I think it's a kiss from God. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteYour mums are absolutely gorgeous. Still feels very summery here although the mornings are cool . I love seeing the sunrise in the morning.
ReplyDeleteLaura, It was chilly this morning and hot this afternoon. I remember when mom would wake us for school and it would almost be to cold to get out of bed...because she had the windows open thru the night. LOL I would love to see the sun come up out here. but there's only certain times I can see sunrise because of the woods on both sides of the road to the east. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
DeletePraying for Tom, Susie.
ReplyDeleteYour outdoor décor reminds me that I need to get outside and decorate now!
Thank you Kim...the dr. called my brother's surgery off till Friday, because the drs' 1st surgery today went way over time. Throw a potted mums into a container , add a pumpkin and that's good at your front door. :):) My fake flowers have made me smile. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt won't be long before all those trees will be filled with real orange, red and yellow. Love the Fall.
ReplyDeleteHi Bonnie, I love autumn wonderful colors. I can see the start of those colors in the woods . Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeletePrayers for your brother, Tom- hope it all went well today. I love your fall! So pretty! LOL on the tomato trucks losing a few...and your funny hubby.
ReplyDeleteThank you so much Tete. The drs' have called off Tom's surgery till Friday. Because the 1st surgery for the dr today ran long. I'll have to get shots of those tomatoes in the road. Yes, I think Ted will look at the tomato on his sandwich to see if it's sliced or squashed. LOL Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteIt really is looking like fall at your place. Your mums are gorgeous. I use fake flowers in front of my house. After losing so many plants because it doesn't get enough sun, I gave up and now it always looks nice. Yours poked here and there among your plants looks so nice!
ReplyDeleteKathy, So funny, I didn't know your flowers were fake too. The rabbits ate some of those most expensive plants I bought this year. I have to buy a few pumpkins...or my sister and I are going to make some cloth ones. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your fall and I used the faux stuff in my sweet potato vines too. It keeps the squirrels from feasting on the real stuff. Have a wonderful week my friend.
ReplyDeleteKris
Kris, I used your fake flower idea. LOL I saw how good it looked in the potato vine . I pulled out all the dying pansies and violas and just stuck those fake ones into the dirt. Blessings to you, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe bunnies gobbled up our potato vines earlier this year, but I don't see any bunnies around lately. I don't know if the hawk got them or what. Your mums are beautiful. Does that cherry tree produce cherries? I'm glad the doctor used wisdom to reschedule your brother and pray that all goes well for him.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, It sounds like those bunnies are multiplying everywhere. We have more hawks in our area too. We think it's because of the rabbits and chipmunks. No, the weeping cherry is ornamental. Our neighbors had a real cherry tree that died out from the harsh winters and draught. I am glad my brother's dr. decided to wait. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteLove your photos, that one dollar wreath is worth a lot in beauty!!
ReplyDeletePrayers for your brother. xx
Thank you Kay, the doctor postponed brother's surgery till Friday..as drs.'s 1st surgery yesterday went on too long. I have two wreath from yard sales and they are still very nice. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThe light hitting the tree almost looks like the tree itself is turning color.
ReplyDeleteI truly hope all works out well for your brother. It's one thing when a parent has medical issues but different when it is a sibling.
Always remember, never tick off a bunny!
Boston Boy, It's kind of sad, most trees in our yard and in the woods behind us the leaves turn brown ..there's a couple maple that give us some real color. Nothing like the northeastern states. Thanks for the well wishes for my brother Tommy...he hates fussing, has a quick temper, and now here his surgery has been called off till Friday. I wonder what his blood pressure is today. ..yikes. He has had some stents from an earlier time and now they will be doing a bypass. I guess my siblings and I are now the older generation and showing signs of it. It's scary. Oh those rascally rabbits, as Elmer would say. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteThose orange mums are gorgeous!! Love sunrises, so peaceful and promising! Blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteThank you Cindy. I got two of those orange mums from the neighbor boy who was selling them to raise monies to travel to D.C. for his class. You know one of those brainiac classes. LOL. Blessings, xoxo,Susie
DeleteHi Susie, I love your dollar wreath and all the fall touches! I've done the faux flowers, too, and I think they look great. The sunrise is so pretty. Tomorrow the sun rises on the first day of autumn. It's hard to believe that summer is really over, although it's still so warm here you wouldn't know it.
ReplyDeleteHope your brother is doing well, I will say a prayer for him.
Happy Fall to you!
Cheryl, You made me feel better when you said you used some fake flowers too. I am dreading winter..so I have to enjoy everyday that is nice , with a great joy. My brother's surgery was put off till Friday. Thank you for the prayers , so much. Bless you, xoxo,Susie
