Classmate Brunch....

Yesterday morning there were eleven of us gathered for our brunch. Ten women and one brave man. LOL. Jim , is a gentle soul and seems to enjoy being with us.
This is the petunia, my daughter Karen gave me in memory of my mom...I have a perfect pot, but do not have it planted yet. Mommy would truly love this.
My emerald green hosta is doing well.  I need to break it into two nice ones.  More bang for your buck that way.
The clematis is full of buds. It will be beautiful full of purple blooms.
I did break this  blue leaved hosta into fours a couple years ago. These are big leaves also, you can see by the wheels of the old lawn mower.
Lilies growing by the little water feature near the porch. Last year I wanted to stain this barrel...but I have yet to do it. I have painted all these cement balls before. They could use a face lift. :):) I better do it before the lilies get any bigger.
I hope all of you enjoyed your mother's day. I did have time with my daughters and grandkids. Not all of them ....but received many good wishes on the phone.  It seemed so different wishing my granddaughter Lynzie, "Happy Mother's Day"...she's a mommy since December.
Yes, we are getting rain again today. I am not sure if we have enough old skids to make an ark...maybe a raft.:):) Ted better get busy. LOL. Hugs to all of you. XO

    1. Janet, It was a fun time with my classmates and catching up. Yes, I did split the blue hosta. Dig up your hosta and you can split it with your shovel. I would water with some miracle-gro . I would love some of the smaller ones also. Hope you are getting sunshine.. It rained again today..but the sun popped out for a few minutes here and there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Wanda, One of the ladies said something to a gentleman who was leaving and had sat near us. He said we sounded like a hive of bees. I laughed so hard. It was a fun time. Hope you are having a great week. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Vee, When we have had class reunions, Jim has always been in charge of pictures. He seems to have every picture taken at school.LOL. I know that hostas are shade loving plants, they come in many colors of rgeen and even combo colors. many sizes also. They will get a purple flower on a skinny stalk later. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I do like to walk around my yard to see how things are coming along. I know you have been enjoying your daughters. I love that about us. LOL. You have raised some beautiful children, so have I . That's one thing about my own mom...she was not the greatest mommy but she would beat us to death to keep us out of trouble...it pretty much worked too. LOL. I always felt like I wanted to be good without a spanking, dang. Blessings, love you, xoxo,Susie
