Purple Flowers....

This petunia is doing so well. It has a very nice fragrance also.
My mother's planter is doing great, almost hiding the little angel.
Wow, look at our clematis !! it is loaded with blooms and buds. I think they may all bloom out today, as the sun is shining . :):)
Ted made this chicken wire nailed to 2x4's for a frame. This clematis still had the be tied up with some twine.
Looks so pretty, I wish I had more of them around the property.
This is some coral bells at the back along side some lilies. When I planted this coral bell , it was one plant, but it spread out as if it were a vine type plant. I have never had this happen before.
As I said , the sun is out and it is looking pretty here...at least right now. :):) I have some painting to finish up today. Have to finish, sick of looking at the mess. I'll show all of you what I have been doing when it's done. LOL.
Enjoy this wonderful Saturday . XO

    1. Hi Linda, I do love this clematis.. I like the color of the coral bell's leaves. the actual flower is so tiny. When there's no flower the leaves of plants help add color to flowerbeds. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. I love that beautiful clematis! I'm wondering will it bloom all summer where you are? I don't think it blooms here in the summer. But I can't remember. I like flowers that spread. Unless they are obnoxious, that is.

    1. The is the sad part of growing a clematis..once the beautiful flower are spent, they don't keep blooming thru summer. Oh once I plant a little plant called chamelian ..it took over. Scary. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Wanda, The first flowers we ever had in a yard growing up..was mom's irises and lilacs. They were at the house when we moved there...so they became mommy's favorite of all time. I may have to post a couple more pictures of the clematis once all the buds have bloomed. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Tessa, I sure hope you will post a photo of your pink clematis. I had mauve colored one here, always in the sun and it just last two years, never had many blooms...but I often think ,"what if I had planted it in a different spot?" I would love to try some more. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  11. Your flowers look wonderful. I just planted a clematis and I hope it take hold well. I had a cedar trellis that I dug out and Ihope it likes growing on it. I like the way yours is sort of mounded together- makes for a showy display. I planted a bunch of coral bells and enjoy watching them each year. I had no idea that there were so many varieties available in them. A few have died off so I'm sticking with the hardiest ones. I think they have kind of a tuberous rooting system so I guess that's why yours spread like that. Looking great!

    1. Hi Liz, I think with your green thumb, you will have no worries about growing a clematis. I did not know that about coral bells. I had planted many before and none took off like these at the back of the house. I love their color mixed in with green plants. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  12. These purple flowers are stunning, Susie. I love purple so much that I bought a bunch of purple flowers at the nursery and planted them. After planting them, it didn't look like very many at all; they always seem like more in the containers at the nursery. Your mom's planter is so charming with the purple and yellow flowers.
