Starting The Weekend .....

The redbud tree s getting it's leaves now.  This is a sweet little tree that is at the edge of the shop driveway. Softens  the front of the big old shop/garage.
The little woods in the back is greening up, along with the backyard trees. This happened so quickly.
Things are very green in the front yard. Dark green of the pines, a touch of burgundy with the plum bush by the fence.
This is a piece of junk I found in a local junk shop, years ago. It's made of metal and has a great rusty look. It had some aqua and brass when I bought it. We hang it on the shop wall near the pond.
We have had to rework this pond many times. It has a plastic liner now. Duck decoy floats in it.  You can click on the pictures to enlarge them.
On the porch, a whole family of pretty faced pansies posing for a picture. Aren't they adorable.
These were facing the wrong way, so I took their picture from above.
This could become a collection of sorts...my blue vehicles.  I put the dollar angel with them. They are on the flower cart I bought at Horton's last summer.
This morning is sunny and it's to be a warm day also.  I think I may go into to the city park and walk . Since rain is predicted for tomorrow, my daughter has rescheduled our Wolf Park adventure. We will go there,on a day when the sun will shine.  So I can get some good pictures.  In the mean time, I will meet Karen and Savannah for lunch tomorrow.  I better get my flowers for my girls. I usually give them a mother's day gift, for letting me be their mother...you know like I would ever give them a choice. LOL. Those four daughters will be mine till the end of time. I am blessed.
Wishing all of you a great day and love filled weekend. XO

  9. Looks like spring is in full bloom in your area, Susie! Love your photos. I should walk around my neighborhood but I'm too lazy. I love your old vintage piece on the wall. Is it an old mill? Just looking at that big wheel. Don't laugh!!

    1. Blondie, I'm not going to laugh at you...that is a little mill with a water wheel on it. The piece had colors on it when I bought it...but I thought I would just let it rust and I love how it looks. Probably seems odd to be hanging that low...but I wanted it by the pond. Our pond need to be de-scaled. Hard water out here. one day I would love a pond with fish. The birds bathe and drink in it. Wishing you a happy mother's day. Get hugs. xoxo, Susie

  11. I love your metal wall piece AND your pond! I don't think I have seen that before! I used to have a duck decoy floating in mine, too! It finally got a hole in it from a hailstorm and would no longer float! No one wants to look at a drowning duck decoy!!

    1. Linda, We used to have two decoys...one flew away , I guess. I love how rusty this metal hanging has become. It's a little grist mill with trees and some ducks and a boat...it's hard to see all that now with it be mostly the same color. Hope things are working again there. Blessings to you and LD, love you guys, xoxo, Susie
