A couple weeks ago, I copied arranging dishes and things to make center pieces. I saw it on Carol's Art and Sand blog. This is what I came up with for now. It's a ceramic cabbage on a matching dish. I changed out the forsythia for faux pink apple blossoms. Added a jeweled fridge magnet. I also used the same platter , pitcher, and fake candle. I used my lace table cloth and added a pale pink napkin to center this display. I will be doing this again. :):)
Also wanted to show you the cute pot that I used for the purple petunia, my daughter , Karen gave me to honor my mom. I have had this pot for some time. It's made of resin , clustered with fruit.
I won't be doing much today. Have to rest my ankles after being on my feet so much yesterday. Hope all of you have a great day. XO
Looks beautiful, love the purple. That's a great cabbage.
ReplyDeleteThank you Janet. I love the velvety look of this petunia. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

DeleteLove the arrangement and the purple petunias. Good job. Now stay seated and take care of those ankles.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, When I was young I never dreamed my ankle would be hurting if I stood for long periods. I hope all young people tank their lucky stars for good health.:) I miss running. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt's so neat how we inspire each other. You did a great job with both arrangements. 😀
ReplyDeleteThank you Patty. I do love learning from my bog blog family. I think it's wonderful we can see things that make want to ry. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThe purple petunia is beautiful. I read your post this morning and decided to make a little arrangement on my kitchen table today. I haven't done much decorating lately. Hugs!
ReplyDeleteDiane, You will have to show us what you did with your center piece. I am enjoying trying different things. Not buying anything new , just using what I have. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI really like the arrangement you've shown here, the colour of the petunia's is lovely.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing.
All the best Jan
Hi Jan, I am having fun with this idea of changing up a center pieces. I can use things I have put away for a long time. Why do we do that? Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteVery pretty, Susie! Love your little covered cabbage dish! I'm an ankle rester, too...put those feet up! xo
ReplyDeleteLinda, Sorry you have ankle/foot problems too. It sure can put a damper on lots of fun activities. I never use that cabbage dish for anything but displays. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour arrangement looks nice, Susie. I love purple petunias. They look so pretty with other colors of flowers in a pot, too.
ReplyDeleteI love this petunia Cheryl, but I am like you, I think it needs a companion. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, that pot with the cluster of fruit is sooooo pretty. It looks like a blue color and an antique. I love it. Your purple petunias are coming along nicely. Your mom would love those.
ReplyDeleteRest your ankles, my dear.
love, ~Sheri
Sheri, I have thought about painting over that pot with a white wash type of paint. This petunia is like it made of velvet...so deep purple and soft looking. It has a wonderful fragrance also. Blessings, love you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove the purple petunias!! And the fruit clustered pot is gorgeous. I've always liked the cabbage dishes...and I do like yours! Thanks for the visit today...and you're right, it is alot of work!!! Little by little it will get done.
ReplyDeleteJan, I know you will reach the end of the wall building soon. We can make ourselves stronger doing a little each day. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love your cabbage piece! An excellent job at composing a vignette with it. The purple petunias are a favorite of mine and yours are so intensely purple!
ReplyDeleteHi Dewena, Hope you are doing well. I have enjoyed playing with all the things I keep in cabinets. I wonder why we buy things and then put them away. LOL. It fun to drag them out now and make these table settings. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt is definitely fun to play, Susie. I think adults need to do it more often, the world might be a happier more joy filled place! Blessings, Cindy xo
ReplyDeleteCindy, I have been thinking of all the nice things people have and never use...since I have been playing with these center piece settings. I have tons of things I have stored away. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteGorgeous petunias! We are getting a frost this weekend - ugggghhhhh!! I will need to bring stuff in or cover it. This weather is driving me nuts - it was 80 yesterday and now a frost???? What is going on here??
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean...I have never seen so many highs and lows in temperature all in a few days span. I sure hope it doesn't frost. If the wind doesn't blow you could use newspapers. I am hoping our rain is clearing out of here . It would be nice to have some dry days. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
