Here are some thank you notes from my daughter's 5th graders. It is so nice to be thanked. All of these little notes mean so much to me. The spelling and writing does not have to be perfect.
This one says," Thank you Nana for everything, you are the best, you have a wonderful daughter." (the teacher ) LOL. A girl wrote this.
This was from a boy. It touched my heart. It says," Thank you for helping make this year special. I will remember this year forever." A lot of you that follow my blog did mention how a simple picnic at the teacher's , would make a good memory for this class. I hope the kids thanked the teacher's aides and cadet teacher also. :)
I also received this sweet card from Linda of Linda's Life Journal. It came in the mail yesterday afternoon and made me smile. There's a little finger prints book mark from the quads, Linda's wonderful grandchildren. You know the ones she takes pictures of and tells stories of , to entertain all of us. Thank you Linda, and children...I appreciate this kindness so much.
This is last night's sunset. Capping off the end of a pretty day, that made me feel loved. :):) Hope everyone's planning a fun filled weekend. Hugs to all. XO
This just warms my heart, Susie. Especially the little boy's card. How sweet is that? Hugs, Nancy
ReplyDeleteNancy, One little boy, the one that never smiled and always groused(heart breaking in itself) Wrote a note and drew a dinosaur on it. He had an aide with him all year long. I would love to see this children thru the years. I pray for him. Yes, I love the neatly written card form the boy that said he would remember forever. They can squeeze our hearts. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThis is so sweet, Susie...I love the notes!
ReplyDeleteLinda, Kids just have a way of making us cry...good cries and bad ones too. LOL Ted mom used to say , "when kids are little they step on your toes and when they are grown, they can step on your heart at times. " That used to make me sad for her. Just like all moms she wanted the ebst for her children . One has finally settled down to be a good citizen. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteA touching post although I don't don't the story behind it. It's been a very long time since I've sent a note of thanks or encouragement to anyone. I need to do something about that.
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, The thank you notes are from my daughter's 5th grade class. DeleteThose notes are very special. I can not imagine the notes the young man will write in his future if he is already writing like that. Wow! Sweet little bookmark you have there!
ReplyDeleteVee, I thought the same thing. Some do things in a big hurry..while some put thought into things. But I loved all the notes. Plus to get a sweet card from Linda too. It just made my day. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteLove all the notes, yes it does touch our hearts when a child says such sweet things to us.

Sylvia, I hope these kids continue to be kind citizens. Blessings to you for a great weekend too, xoxo, Susie
DeleteNow that is just pure sweetness. I save every little note I receive. People have no idea how meaningful thank yous are. Your sunset is beautiful.
ReplyDeleteThank you Nonnie. Some kids will forever be in my thoughts ...some of the children I have helped my daughter with at her picnics are now grown. I remember a girl who's hair was so curly I could never get a comb thru it. I saw her this past summer with her father grocery shopping....her mother had left her with the father and never came back. I still want to hug that child when I see her. She's going into H.S. next year. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, that is so sweet that the kids wrote those notes to you. I remember when I worked at the elementary school, the kids are all so loving and always ready with hugs. I loved it. The photo of the sunset is so pretty. Have a wonderful weekend..Judy
ReplyDeleteJudy, Most kids just need to be hugged more. I always enjoy being around my daughter's classes. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteVery sweet and thoughtful as well...Pretty sunset..great picture..
ReplyDeleteThank you Missy. Today was totally gloomy all day. I am hoping for sunshine tomorrow. Think I'll sit on the porch and write letters. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteWhat sweet notes from the children. I think thank you note writing has gone out of style and it's nice to see these children still do it. I got a bookmark from Linda and the quads too. That was so nice of her to send it to us.
ReplyDeleteKathy, every class that my daughter has taught have written thank you notes to me after the picnics. There's no way I can remember them all...but I sure do remember the ones that break my heart. I think most kids need hugs and words of encouragement. I think my daughter is a great teacher. Blessings to you for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm a little out of touch with what's been going on but you deserve all those cute cards from the kids.

DeleteWhat special thank you notes.
ReplyDeleteI haven't gotten any written thank you notes from students lately, but I have gotten a lot of comments on Facebook. One of my favorite classes of students is graduating from college this spring. I have know them since they were 11 years old and I am so touched that they think to mention me when they share their successes.
Those letters - so nice.
ReplyDeleteYour last photo - so nice too.
Happy weekend wishes
All the best Jan
Yes, those thank yous are priceless. too bad you can't save them to give back in about 10 years.
ReplyDeleteThat was sweet of the children to write "thank you" notes. I bet they touched your heart, Susie. I wish I lived closer to Jess so I could work in her classroom. Wouldn't that be something?
ReplyDeleteThis sunset is beautiful, and should be in a magazine. :)
love, ~Sheri
