Sunday's Skies......

The day started off  bright with blue skies.
As the day went on into afternoon, clouds started to build up.
By 7:00 it was raining in buckets.  You could not see beyond the over side of the road.
Then sunset is starting , the skies are almost white from the sun's glare..
Not even a half hour later the colors are pink and lavender.. Changing while you watched.
My camera's flash went off during this shot to the east.
Then back toward the west. The sky is turning orange.
This is after 9:00 in the evening. The fireflies were out by this time. Now that alone is a beauty you can only find in nature....golden skies from the sun setting and fireflies starting their evening light show.
I had a great weekend.   I loved the  rain too. I will not be watering today. :):) Hope all of you are safe and ready for this week. It will be the 4th very soon and lots of family gatherings to help celebrate . Enjoy. XO

  1. Bravo!!!!

    What a photographic display!!!

Only one thing, to make it "better"! Widen the main part of your blog, so you can post photos in their width glory. :-) Just think of it!!! How spectacular that would be. :-))))

(Yes, I am on a mission, to get you to widen your blog... Please don't be aggravated at an olden lady. :-)))))))

That aside, these photos are amazing.

    Gentle hugs,
    Tessa

    1. Tessa, I know I need an update , LOL. I'll have to get my daughter here to help with it. I have a hard time just blogging. I sure am not aggravated...I want people to enjoy my blog. I could not get over how quickly the skies changed and some of the spectacular colors, farther away...that I need a better zoom lens to capture. . :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I truly wished I had a screened in porch...so I could sit out as late as I would like ...to watch the fireflies and skies..and not be eaten up by bugs. :):) You know even storms have a beauty about them, while they are forming in the skies. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. Sounds like a beautiful day. We have not had any rain here in North Carolina in weeks. Would love to see a small thunder storm sweep by.

    1. Hi Lisa, I hope you get just enough rain....so many places need some and some places have had way too much..scary. I like you...a small storm isn't too bad. I actually enjoy a soft gentle rain that last a couple hours. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. We can use the rain. On the other hand the weather has been perfect for about the whole month of June.
Wonderful sunset shots! I don't know if I have ever seen that combination of colors.

    1. Boston Boy, Hope it won't be long till you are back in the old neighborhood. June was wonderful...even though we had a couple scary storms...it has all worked out well. The grass is pretty green. If we all could just get 1/2 to an inch of rain every week..we would be fine. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
