The Peanut Container....

Teddy Bear eats lots of peanuts...or has thru the years we have lived here. :):) He uses the containers  to store things in the shop. Does he uses the containers because he ate all those peanuts, or is he eating peanuts to accumulate containers??
He can see what's inside at a glance , if they aren't too dusty from sawdust.
So I took two empties and painted a base coat of cream on them.
Painted them to look like a flag. Sitting side by side. These are going to be flower pots. I have to drill so holes in the bottoms.
This is my little garden flag I bought at Horton in early spring. I will put it near the  flower pots to pick up the flag theme. I have the red geraniums to put in the peanut container pots. LOL.
Got the new  protective cover for my phone. Makes it easier to handle...not so slippery.  Also got the screen protector. All these things add up...but I plan on having this phone a long time.
This morning while I was answering some comments on my blog....our computer started loading windows 10 on it's own accord.  I swear this is scary. I did not click for it to load, I actually have clicked the x in the corner every time it's popped upon the screen.  Well it's loaded and I am hoping it works out. I can see some differences already.  Please wish me the best.
Our weather here is more like it should have been in April.  But it's going to truly heat up by the weekend. Today will be 71 and Friday will be over 90.....oh boy...I mean that in the "This old lady hates the 90's" way. :):)
Wishing all a great Wednesday.  XO

  1. Susie, good use for the peanut containers. Kai came in and dropped a peanut on the rug that he found outside. Guess a squirrel is missing some of his cache..Happy Wednesday..xxoJudy

  2. We have a lot of those jars from mixed nuts we buy. They're handy for so many things. Never thought of them for flower pots though.

The protective cover on the face of my iPhone was expensive but worth every penny. I dropped my phone in the grocery store and shattered the protective cover but the actual phone screen was not damaged.

    1. Linda, These peanut containers...seem a shame to waste them. Good for storing all kinds of things. Hope you and Bob are doing well. I feel so busy lately...but I don't what I have been doing. LOL> Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie

  3. That's a great use for the peanut jars. I always hate to throw out a jar I think I can use, but really, just how many jars can I keep? Joe goes through about 5 a week between his pickles and three bean salad.

I hope you get used to Windows 10. It's not my favorite, but by now, it's hard not to have it. Everyone seems to be using it. It took me awhile to figure it all out but it's OK now.

    1. Kathy, I know I feel like a hoarder with all kind of crazy plastic things around...so I have to just throw them out. I am glad Ted uses the lidded containers for his nuts, bolts, and screws. Hey, I kind of like how my planters turned out...oh get it planter's peanuts. LOL.. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Hi Susie, Glad you had some good weather...I was kind of worried about the aftermath of the storm. Susie, I am so old I think I am set in my ways....this computer switch has me half upset. I'll be a dang bear by this weekend with the temps in the 90's. LOL. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie

  7. These are so stinking cute, Susie! We are sort of cool here, too, but I enjoyed working outside and did a good watering in prep of the 90 degree temps predicted for Saturday. I'm hiding out in my house with some good books.

    1. Blondie, I hope our AC will keep us cool. Who want to be so hot they can't breathe. Time for some cool drinks. Reading inside is a good idea. Bless you, xoxo, Susie

  8. Oh, now I can see how you made these cute containers. You did a great job, Susie. And that's a great idea to use them for Ted's nails and such because they are see-through and easy to notice.

It has cooled down the last few days and I'm really liking that. I don't like when it gets too warm.
