What A Night....

I was up earlier this morning than yesterday. At 1:15 Ted and I we up due to the storms. We are good here.  Just branches and debris in the yard. High winds enough lightening to clean the air for a month.
So glad I had Ted bring the flag in. It was a rough night. The storms came thru in waves.  Lots of weather news on the TV this morning.
Had to throw this duckie back into the pond, he had jumped out. You can see we have some clean up to do.
I put most of my containers up next to the wall to try to keep them safe from the hail. They still took a whipping from the winds.
I know you all wanted to know...this little fellow says, "What storms?" I am making this short, so everyone knows we are save here. Hoping all is well with you.   XO

    1. Judy, In a town n.w. of here the wind took down the big communication tower in the town. Today they will mount the Emergency equipment on their water tower. We were lucky, and I thank God. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, we call that sick picking...my daughter asked if we want to come over and pick sticks...I told her we had plenty of our own. Ted is helping the neighbor man fix his siding, where a strip came off. They are going to haul the bigger limbs in his tractor bucket. I still feel so blessed. Take care. Tell Bob hello from Indiana. 1. Diane, I feel blessed that the storms were not worse. Some places had damage...mostly trees falling over power lines and cars. Our neighbors lost a big tree in the barn lot. We all helped pick up branches and debris. Now it's is like a sauna outside. Too hot to enjoy being out. Bless you, let's stay cool. xoxo, Susie

  13. I am so glad you are safe with no bad damage. The hail that came with our storms this year has been fierce. I've not heard of so many bad hailstorms before. The little flower is amazingly resilient.

  18. I'm glad you are safe, Susie. Most of the damage (and tornados) were west of us, and I feel so bad that this area seems to always get ravaged by terrible storms. We were on alert as they were headed our way. Okay here except a lot of downed limbs and branches all over.

Summer is here, thus the crazy weather!

    1. Blondie, I inderstand what you mean...seems some places are in the line of crazy weather more often than others. I am truly thankful we didn't have more damage. Just things easily taken care of, as picking up the yard. Ted did help our neighbor fix some of his house trim. My twins lost power thru the night. That is one thing I fear from storms. They are fine now. I am thankful you are okay there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  19. Oh Susie, thank goodness all is well at your house. I don't think anyone is escaping these storms this year. I love the little volunteer plant, he seems to be a survivor!! Ha..ha!

    1. Gert, Some times the weather condition make me nuts. Flooding on the east coast and wildfires on the west. The west truly could use some rain. I am thankful things were mild here in our area. Yesterday the neighbor lady said it was a tornado in the town west of here..but it looked more like those straight line winds. Uprooted trees and blew apart pole barns. The little viola is so happy and hardy at the bottom of the steps...I just had to leave him. :):) Blessings to you , xoxo, love, Susie
