Do many of you keep journals?? I have journals for just about everything in this house. They are not always up to date...so occasionally I have to up-date information. Like my medical journal. I have given journals for graduation gifts and informed the recipient that they must keep a medical journal...cause the doctors and hospitals want to know everything.
I keep a house journal, the lawn, dri-gas fills, appliances, repairs , and purchases are recorded in it. The golf cart, truck repairs also. The water system filter changes, are recorded.
Here's where coffee comes in. Do some of you drink from a dainty cup such as this one?
Or do you need a mug that has a statement on it ? I bought two of these for a couple of my daughters.... I can't tell where they work. LOL. I know everyone knows the old lady that is blunt and to the point. The old lady on this cup is called "Aunty Acid" I laughed when I saw this cup, then I thought, two of my daughters some times have rough days at work...so I wanted to make them laugh also. :):)
The temperatures around our state are to be high and hot. That means muggy. Hoping everyone stays hydrated and cool. Take breaks, don't over do in this heat. Some mommy advise. XO
Susie, you must be incredibly organized to maintain all these journals! I'm sure it helps tremendously, especially when it comes to home purchases, repairs, etc. I've never thought of keeping a medical journal ~ great idea!
ReplyDeleteI have a Gratitude Journal and also one for just "stuff" ~ thoughts, memories, etc. I haven't kept the latter updated the past few years.
I love coffee mugs! I use the one that inspires me or just feels right for my morning coffee. Glad to know you enjoy them too!
xo
Pat
Pat, I am not as organized as I once was. But I do like to keep records of many things..it has helped. I do have one journal that I have things the grands would say written in it. Ted and I usually drink from our same mugs every morning. At times I will use a pretty cup to have a cappuccino. Blessings, hope all is well. xoxo, Susie
DeleteI like the idea of your different journals. The medical in particular is a good idea.
ReplyDeleteI think now one doesn't have to have the exact dates of any surgeries ...just be close. But it used to they wanted to know the month and year. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYou are much more organized than I. My blog is my journal. I use it so much to look things up. Since all of my health records are online, any of my doctors or myself can pull them up at any time. I guess I'm just more of a tech person than a writing it down person.
ReplyDeleteI don't drink coffee and seldom drink tea so I don't have one thing to drink out of. I just grab whatever is handy. I usually have a cup of tea about twice a month if that and never coffee. YUCK! I don't want caffeine in my body. Mostly I am just enjoying using my water bottle. I am drinking about 52 oz. of water a day. Trying to up it to 60 oz.
Kathy, I have to have my paper records. LOL. I am old fashioned that way, I guess. I am so glad you are drinking that much water. I drink a lot but not that much. I Occasionally have tea, but prefer coffee or a cappuccino.I have a brother and sister who never drink coffee either. Hope you are feeling good about your drs' visit. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteJournals are wonderful but I've never been a journaling person. Give me an organizer or calendar and I'm off and running. I keep detailed medical records but they're on my iPhone so they're easily available when we go to the doctor or to ER.
ReplyDeleteLinda, I love my big desk calendar ...it has squares big enough to write dr, dentist dates in. Glad you have journaled on your phone. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI keep journals for reflections, personal thoughts and observations, things I learn while reading my Bible, prayers, and answered prayers and everyday happenings. I write in my journals things I don't dare share on my blog. I have them all over the place and I guess they will be good kindling after I'm gone. My coffee cup is a mug with a lid and it says, Be strong and courageous. Medical info is in my head for both DH and me.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, I have a couple fun journals also. I have one that I wrote the funny things the grands said to me while growing up. I still love looking thru it. Ted and I use the same mugs every morning. But I often use fancy cups to have a cappuccino. lad you can remember your medicals...I have to have my papers. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI take journals by spells...I should do a lot better...you rock!!
ReplyDeleteBJ, If we ever sell this house and move, I will leave the house journal with it.LOL Hope you are doing well, and staying cool. I was a little today...not as long as I would love to be. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI have a couple of journals...each night I write in one and the others whenever. It's going to be extremely HOT here tomorrow. Taking grandgirl to the movie :)
ReplyDeletewarmly,
deb
A nice dark cool movie theater sounds pretty good Deb. I have a couple journals for fun things or vacation recalls. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteNo Journals. Guess my calendar is our "journal." Since I put everything, on it. :-)
ReplyDeleteYou commented that you would love to see the Victorian Trading Co. catalogue. Well just click on this click-able link, and enjoy!!!
Keep cool hugs,
Tessa
Tessa, I like my big desk calendar too. That's where I write the full moon days on. LOL. I am going to check the Victorian site out. Thank you. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie! You also must be the most organized one too! I do keep travel journals and have for probably over 30 years but not for other things. I do from time to time keep a prayer journal. Love the funny mug. Even though the dainty one is beautiful the other is much more fun! Thanks for popping in to see me. I'm getting where I don't enjoy grocery shopping as much as I used to either! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
While traveling Shelia, I love to write things down so I can tell my daughters about my trips. I have a blog pals book for addresses. My home records, my medical, Our insurance benefits, plus one I wrote in when my grands were small. I used to get all dressed up to grocery shop when I was young, because I never really got to go anywhere else. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteOh yes, I have journaled for years.
ReplyDeleteI have one in the kitchen, with daily notes, and lists.
My Spiritual journal, my prayer journal. It's our legacy, Susie. Our children will learn much about us from our journals.
I have wrote prayers in some of my journals. I think it's good to write things down , especially if we are having a tough time in our lives. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI have journals all over the place too, not as many as you do....perhaps I should write in them! Lol I love mugs, no dainty cup for me.
ReplyDeletehi Linda, Glad you have some journals. Yes, do write in them. Make up poems or letters for the rgands to read when they are older. I wrote in one journal here, funny thing my grands have said while they were small. I have been looking it over and laughed all over again. Blessings my friend, love, xoxo, Susie
