The Shop....

This is some of Ted's woods. He has racks of it in the lean too.
Drills and battery charging stations. You see my name on one , I have my own tools.
Saw blades neatly stored.  Ted was so organized when he set the shop up...some times he's not a well organized as then. I have an issue with the dust. He has dust collectors and vacuums. But still could wipe things down.
Racks of clamps...you truly need these when working with wood...or others things also. It's like helping hands.
I do have a smidge of wall space , beside where I park my Jeep. This is my Nascar pictures.
I got this little sign for 25 cents at a yard sale...I just added the apostrophe S , to make it Teddy Bear's. LOL
This is close to how Ted and his brothers worked on cars.  So fitting. :):)
Some of his cabinets "FULL" of stuff. He made the knobs from golf balls.  Here's another pile of wood.
Yes, there's a rest room out there...this sign tells how to get to it.  LOL. We need one out there...but then it would have to be heated more in winter. We keep it just above freezing. So Ted comes in for breaks and brings some of his saw dust with him. Grrrr.   I tell him to use the air hose on himself before coming in but he doesn't always do that.
Hope all of you are going to have a nice long weekend. Please enjoy your family time. Blessings, XO

    1. Louise, Ted's last project was a china cabinet for Liz. He has made me a coffee table. Everyone has foot stools , paper towel holders. Toilet tissue holder/cabinets. Jewelry boxes, picture boxes. Trays, salt and pepper grinders. Those are some of the things he has made. He is very talented with wood working. His son is very good also with turning bowls on the lathe. Hope your holiday weekend is a fun filled one. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  2. How fortunate to have a great place for Ted to work on projects! Yes, I'm sure a rest room would be great....perhaps an outhouse will do? :)

    1. If the shop was attached to the house it would be easier to install a restroom. I'll just have to put up with his wood dust at times. LOL..I might talk him into one of those camp things . LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Oh my gosh, I have a thing about dust too, Susie. That's why all the tools are in cabinets at my house. Ted might want to consider getting cabinets. It's more organized that way. The "Teddy Bear's Shop" is perfect for Ted hahaha. I love seeing all that wood stacked up. You and Ted sure do keep things up, it's impressive.

    Happy July, Susie!

    1. Sheri, Ted's cabinets are full and he has many of them. His problem is he just doesn't stay on top of cleaning. I have helped him sweep and dust before. One of these days he plans on getting rid of many things. He gave his son a small lathe once and then Heath bought a bigger one and he does awesome little works of art . Blessings for a great weekend and happy holiday. Love you, xoxo, Susie

  4. Dust doesn't bother me at all. I figure it's all good stuff. I grew up in a family of carpenters so I'm used to sawdust in everything.

    1. Kathy, You made me laugh. My real father was a carpenter...I was going to be one too, till I hit my finger with a hammer and my nail turned black..Ouch. I was 10 years old then.Ted did not start too deep into building..it just more less evolved. He's a pipefitter by trade. It seemed that all my uncles were handy with fixing things. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie

    1. Kris, I try to not get too close to any fireworks. I have seen them do crazy things. Very dangerous. I will be going to my daughter for our 4th celebration. Hope you and Terry have a great time with the new baby . Enjoy the holiday weekend, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, I need to show some of Ted's bigger pieces. He's made many picture frames for me. We used to make Christmas gifts for the whole family. I would come with an idea , we both worked on drawing it up and the Ted would make it and some times I would do some staining. It was fun. Blessings to you and Bob for a wonderful holiday weekend. xoxo, Susie

    1. Nellie, Ted's hobby got bigger as the years went on. Now it seems to be waning. Which makes me rather sad. Blessings for a fun weekend of celebrating. xoxo, Susie

    1. Thank you Karen. I used to buy my dad tools at Christmas. I thought he'd tinker with his car when he retired and he did for a few years. Oh I miss him so much. My Ted plans on passing his tools to his son. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Missy, I have seen some of the wonderful things your BIL has made for you. I wish he and Ted could get together. LOL. Ted likes to think things up too. We have used all the drills at once when we built the deck. Blessings for a great holiday. I hope the neighbors don't let fireworks off all week long. Lots of little animals get so scared...makes me sad for them. xoxo, Susie

  11. I should print these pics out and show them to my loved ones who think their shop is organized.

I probably wouldn't use an air hose on myself either--if I was headed inside to the Relief Station!
