I used to have to prettiest black eyed Susans....now I just have a couple plants left and they are not very big. But I still love to see them.
The tiger lilies are blooming. They are such a pretty color.
They are fairly tall also. so like tall plants they do not stand well in wind and rains.
Tuesday evening's sunset. As I took this I could see that part of my neighbor's apricot tree is without leaves. That's not a good sign.
I like to get sunset photos thru the wispy greenery of the pines.
Looking toward town over the bean fields....seems so far away.
Some bad news about the little wren egg. I think it was an old one, as I peek at it , the egg was getting spotted and I saw an ant in the nest. There was a hole in the shell. So no new baby....I did think it was too late for new babies. I dumped the egg out and kept the nest. So tiny, it could fit in a teacup.
Things seemed quiet yesterday and the storms came in and it was windy, rainy, and lightening too. Thankfully no hail. I was even more thankful that we did not get heavy rains ...so no flooding.
I would like to thank all of you for your kind words and helpful information concerning my daughter and that biopsy incident. It is wonderful to have so many good friends who care. Bless you. XO
Hi Susie! Oh, I love the Black Eyed Susans, my kids always called them Black Eyed Susies! :) Your lilies are gorgeous and I'll bet the smell is wonderful too. I hope you're having a nice summer and how I appreciate your encouragement and sweet comments about my silly little mini hobby!
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Shelia, I trying my best to enjoy every flower in my gardens. I can't believe how many lilies I have now. They are spreading. I truly need to feed my black eyed susans. I have been loving your little doll house furnishings. I think you really have done a great job, coming up with ideas and making them. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThose tiger lilies look like a rare exotic flower, don't they? So pretty! Enjoy your evening my friend. Hugs, Diane
ReplyDeleteDiane, When I was ten, I was walking home from church and found a flower lying in the street. It was a snap dragon, just one little blossom....I thought it was an orchid..hey, I was ten ..LOL. I think many of our flowers appear as exotic. :):) Bless your heart, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI love Black-eyed Susans. Too late for this year, but I think I'll plant some next summer. I love your sunset pictures. So pretty. Have a good evening!
ReplyDeleteKathy, When I lived in town, I had a black eyed susan planted near a downspout..it was the biggest one I have ever grown...I think they must like lots of water and sunshine. Hope you are getting to sit out, I did see where the temperatures would be rising near you. Stay cool. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful pictures. Unfortunately it's very seldom all goes smoothly in the medical world. Sometimes you just have to breath deeply and move on, hoping it doesn't happen again.
ReplyDeleteLinda, You are right about the medical world. They really have a hold on all of us. Hope you are doing well. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful sunset, Susie!
ReplyDeleteThank you Laurie, I love taking sunset photos. Hope you are having good days there. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI have lots growing this season....shall I send you some seeds????
ReplyDeleteLouise, Thank you, that's so sweet. I have been saving any flower heads for the seeds. I did that with my marigolds too.. most times, I leave the heads for the birds. Hope you are having a fun summer. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi, Susie..I've always loved BlackEyed Susans but have never had them...sure is a pretty sunset..
ReplyDeleteBJ, The best black eyed susan I had was when I lived in town, I had planted one by a downspout. So they must love lots of water and sunshine. :):) I love seeing sunsets out here. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI keep trying to remember to plant Black Eyed Susan. I hear they do well. Your garden is gorgeous Susie!

Blondie, I would dearly love to make more gardens and plant more things here....but as I get older, I get burned out on pulling weeds. My flowers are in dire need of thinning, and I did the mums this Spring. But oh boy they are just a bushy as ever. Hope you are loving the time in your flowers and being outdoors, just be safe when it's super hot . Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteBeautiful flowers and sunrise. Sad to see the beautiful nest without young ones.
ReplyDeleteYes, I was hoping for a baby wren to watch grow. I have watched robins on the window sills before. I will keep the nest for some porch décor.:) It's a little work of art. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI've had black eyed susan's just disappear and some that keep on going. Not sure if something eats at them or if they freeze out. Love to see them too. Mine aren't blooming just yet. I had a Robin's nest with eggs and one day they were just all gone. We figure a raccoon got them. Love those tiget lilies but they do often get too tall. The rain came here late last night- we needed it. Thankfully no harsh conditions with it. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteliz, Maybe something like that has happened to my susans. The last robins we had on the windows sills...flew away. I loved seeing those babies. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteNext year I just have to have some black eyes Susans. Your little nest is so sweet. It's sad about the baby. I hope your daughter is doing well. We got a big storm here this morning. Very refreshing. Oklahoma and Arkansas got some pretty bad ones.
ReplyDeleteNonnie, My daughter has accepted the craziness of this testing to get herself on to total good health. just a bit maddening to miss work when she did not need too. Hope we do not have any more scary weather. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteThank you again for popping in to see my little minis! You're making my head swell with your sweet comments! :)
ReplyDeleteBe a sweetie,
Shelia ;)
Shelia, I am so enjoying your wonderful dollhouse. The things you are making are so cute. I would have loved a set of those pillow cases in big size. Blessings for a great weekend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour sunsets are the prettiest in blog land, Susie. They make my heart sing every time. Such pretty tiger lilies. Aahh, that sweet nest. I'm glad you kept it in tact.
ReplyDeleteI hope you have a peaceful weekend, Susie. I'm resting up because soon enough it will be Jess' wedding and much excitement!
love, ~Sheri
I didn't realize you got rain and wind and storms during the summer months too? Keep safe, Susie. You mean a lot to me. :)
DeleteThank you Sheri. I do love my sunsets. If I could get better views I would be taking sunrise photos too. Thank you for caring, you just touched my heart. Blessings to all, xoxo, love you girl, susie
DeleteLove your sunsets and your flowers are so beautiful. I have always called them Black Eyed Susie's LOL I'm glad ya'll are safe after the storms. We've had a few lately but we're dry again. Hope you have an enjoyable weekend. xo
ReplyDeleteThank you Susie. I love to take photos of the sunsets. Got a family gathering today...that should be fun. Bless you, love, xoxo, Susie
DeleteYour summer photos are very calming today, Susie. I enjoy seeing your sunset photos. They always warm my soul. I love finding bird nests, too. They add a touch of "country" to our décor, don't they? Keep those wonderful photos coming, dear friend. So much more beauty out there to enjoy.
ReplyDeleteLove you to the moon and back, sweet Susie.
Debbie
xo
Thank you Debbie..you know I love sunsets.:) I have been loving the flowers this summer. I would love more. My hydrangea is bigger than it's ever been but no flower heads. That's sad. Hope you are loving your summertime by the lake. Let's soak up those pretty days. Blessings, love you my friend, xoxo, Susie
DeleteHi Susie ~ those are peaceful shots. I just bought a bag of fresh apricots. They are so good I won't be making anything with them, just eating them and letting the juice run down my chin!
ReplyDeleteKeeping busy here. Thanks for your faithful comments on my blog. Blessings and hugs.
Wanda, The neighbor's make pies with those wee little apricots, they are the size of a walnut.:) I always loved our school cafeteria's apricot cobbler. LOL I enjoyed your trip photos. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
DeleteIt looks like I have missed a lot of your posts. Sorry about all the problems your daughter is having. Medicine isn't like it used to be. Very scary. Sounds like they could've done better by her. I hope everything turns out OK
ReplyDeleteYour flowers are pretty as is the sunset. Looks like you have been busy in the craft department. Hope all is well. Enjoy your weekend
Missy, It seems there's no personal doctor's any more. My new dr. if he sends one to the hospital turn them over to another dr. at the hospital...that's crazy. We have a family gathering today...should be some fun. Blessings to you, xoxo, Susie
DeleteI'm sorry I missed the post about your daughter! I will go back and see what that was about! Thank you for your faithful prayers for Kailey and the family!
ReplyDeleteHi Linda, My daughter was to have a biopsy on a node, in her lung, they saw on her heart scan. Then she's admitted to the hospital and hooked to an IV...before the dr says he wasn't doing the biopsy, she should have another scan in 3 months to compare, because he thought the node was smaller than the heart scan showed. Crazy . I am thankful Karen is tough and will do this in 3 months. So thankful for your family. Love you, blessings to all, xoxo, Susie
DeleteSusie, I literally ripped out hundreds of black eyed Susans last year and have so many more, I would give them to you if I could! Aren't wrens the sweetest little birds? -Jenn
ReplyDeleteThose tiger lilies are just like the ones that my grandmother had. I sure would like to find some to plant here. I am no good with flowers and I would love to have a few near me. A baby wren would have been a nice addition to your family. Maybe next year!
