It's Melting....

The snows are finally melting. It's going to be a messy week in Indiana. The snows are melting, rain is predicted, and the ground is still frozen. That means some flooding. Which is the thing I hate most about fluctuating temperatures in winter. Then there's the refreeze, making things slick. The birds have been eating lots lately, poor things. I am dying to get out with my new camera and get some decent pictures. I am not really a snow person, so taking pictures of snow is boring for me. I know there are people out there that love it and do very well with their pictures. Not me.
I may start on packing things up for the local second hand stores...Goodwill, Salvation Army, and one in our town, Second Blessings. I have lost a wee bit of weight, not eating sugars. It's not easy. Hope everyone has a great day and wonderful week.xo

  6. No snow at all for us, but I do know how nasty it can be when it starts melting in this cold weather. I'm glad you like your new camera, maybe you can get some shots of the birds.

    Have a great week, Susie!

Good for you, losing some weight! After the holiday season, I have to get serious and lose a few pounds myself.
Enjoy the weather change...it won't last long..after all, it's winter.

  13. So what type of new camera did you get? We are getting a slight thaw after a huge snowfall....lovely. And then it's getting super cold again.

Winter pics are just as fun, you just have to find something inspiring.

  14. Congrats on the weight loss.. I hope it doesn't get to bad for you.. We are having above average temps as well and an epidemic of Flu is hitting our little neck of the woods.. I don't have it yet but I have Larangitis.. Sorry I haven't been around to much lately..You take care..

  15. I want a good snow, at least one time, but then I'm not the one who has to get out and shovel it or drive in it. One of my sons is so good about getting off sugar and fast food and getting up at 4 to go work out before work. I wonder if the stork left him at the wrong house?

I'm one of those snow people!
But I do why understand other people
    don't.
    So you're de-cluttering?

  17. I'm ready for the snow to melt, but not the flooding. I'm anxious to see if any of my bees come out. De-cluttering seems to be the January thing to do. Gotta make space for the treasures from those springtime garage sales!
