Sweet Layla Rose and Emma....

I got to spend some time at Lizzy's on Sunday. Brock and Emily brought our baby over for us to love on and tend to, while they went to the movies.
Here's miss Emma Pooh.  She's  growing up, too fast for me. She made Middle School cheerleading. Which surprised me , as I never knew she was interested in cheering.
Emma loves her little niece so much. I think she will make a good sitter for Layla one day. :):)
This little sweetie has grown too. She has fun with Emma teasing her.
Now it's feeding time. She seems to be saying, " grandma Liz is that  PEAS ?, I don't think I like them."
"yep , it's peas and I know I don't like them .,ssppitt." "besides , what's going on with my hair?" :)
Now it's calm time, she is clamping down on her gums. Layla has a tooth !! "No Nana, stop taking my picture, I refuse to look at you. "  Well as you can tell I loved my time with my family.  Just we girls.,  Layla, Emma, Liz and me.   I can tell all of you , when you aren't around little ones every day or even every week....they are growing rapidly. I loved watching the baby, using her pacifier to rub on her gums and then bite it and pull it our of her mouth to make a popping sounds , then she would smile.  I am hoping my next visit with the baby isn't so long in between.
Hope you are having a great day. The temperatures here have dropped and it's been pleasant. Have fun today. XO

    1. Debbie, We had Emma here so much while her mom was fighting her cancer. The thru the years it became less and less. I knew there would come a time when she would be more into her friends and school. That time came that past year. We rarely get to have her here and spend time with her. I miss that. Now Layla is even growing , she has a tooth...it seems she was just born. You can tell I am growing older.LOL. Bless you sweet friend, love, Susie

  11. What wonderful memories you are making with them and memories to treasure always in your own heart and mind!!!
You are such a good grandma!!!! Yes, they grow so fast!!!
Louis Dean and I are tired after having our quads all day - and yet we tell each other that pretty soon they will be in school every day and we will only get to go watch their practices (whatever they decide to do!) and an ocassional weekend or perhaps a standing Sunday afternoon visit! Savor and enjoy! That's what we're doing!!! You and Teddy are too!

    1. Linda, It seems the time that children are too busy for grandp[arents has come with our Emma. She's into the cheering and has little friends that she wants to spend time with and visa versa. But I miss her. Now even Layla is growing like mad. I do enjoy any time I can have with them. I hope you and LD get all those sweet, some times sticky hugs and kisses from your grands....they are growing. Blessings, xoxo,Susie

  12. aahh, these are cute pictures of Layla and Emma. Yaaaay, Emma made Cheerleader in middle school! Tell her that I didn't make it in junior high, but I was a cheerleader in high school, sophomore year! She will have so much fun this year. These pictures made me laugh of Layla eating her peas. Can you believe Nel loved spinach? She kept eating and eating them. I think that's why she's so smart today hehehe.

    Have a blessed week, Susie.

    love, ~Sheri

    1. Sheri, My daughter Liz told Emma that the cheering squad need a tall one to stack the little ones on. LOL. Layla's little pouty face almost made me cry. :):) When my twins were babies and eating finger foods. I would roll cook spinach up into balls and they would eat it. I love see babies learning and I could see that with Layla as she was using her pacifier to rub on her gums. Blessings to you and yours. Love you, Susie
