Things Change....

Yesterday while waiting at the hospital for the doctor to show up...the nurse comes in and tells my brother his surgery has been cancelled till Friday.  Oh dear.... my brother has little patience...I was surprised his B.P. didn't go up.
Tom went all day with out eating to be ready. The surgery is important. The doctor had been in Indy doing a surgery that went long. I think brain surgeries and heart surgeries should be one a day. LOL.   Who wants a tired surgeon , or worse one that's rushed.  Thanks to all of you for your prayers and well wishes...what would I do without you?  Bless you. XO

    1. Linda, I was actually glad it got delayed after thinking about how long the doctor had been with the other surgery. It also showed that the dr. took care of the other person too. Hope all is well there. Bless you, xoxo,Susie

  4. Oh gosh....the hardest part of surgery is the waiting.....bad enough the prepping but then to have to go through it a second time. Sorry for the delay....hopefully it is a God delay.

  9. Gosh Susie. I am a surgery scheduling coordinator. I am so sorry that your brother's case was delayed. How far are you from Indy? I am thinking that the surgery in Indy must have been urgent or an emergency to uproot the doc's schedule like that! Sounds like your brother has a good surgeon . . . good surgeons are always worth the wait. If our Doc's run long, I always tell our patients that each patient gets the time that is needed. There is never a rush when it comes to surgery. As always you are all in my prayers.

    1. Lynne, My brother was having his surgery in Noblesville, Iin between Indianapolis and Tipton where we live. There's some really wonderful heart doctors in that town. It was only inconvenient for Tom because he was wanting it over with..and it had been delayed once before because of insurance.. I told my brother, the dr. must be a very good dr. to stay with his 1st patient ,due to possible unpredicted troubles. That's the dr. we want. :):) But as I thought on how tiring surgeries can be for the doctors too... I thought , yes one a day for major surgeries. I like to go to my dentist early in the day...not near the end when he may be tired. Your job is probably stressful at times. I pray my brother's heart doctor and his team are very skilled. My brother's had stents before. Our family has a history of heart disease. I had rheumatic fever at 14, but no heart murmers... I feel strong and healthy.Blessings, xoxo,Susie

    1. I agree with boston Boy...you have to have clouds to get the best colors of a sunrise or sunset. Sheri, I love your flower and bird photos. Blessings, love, Susie

  11. Susie,
I am so sorry about his surgery being postponed. Emotionally and physically being ready to only have them say we have to change the date. Frustrating for sure. Hope all goes well on Friday. What a beautiful group of pictures with the sunsets.
