Extra Pictures...

Remember when I went to the zoo on Saturday, here's some left-over shots. Have to use them up, since I haven't been doing anything  exciting since. LOL. Here' some wallabies. The  one behind the rock had a baby. ..so cute, but she was not going to show it off just yet.

Fancy chickens ...such pretty colors. They were doing some crowing too. I would too if I looked as pretty as the one with yellow.Wow.
A totem pole beside the eagles pen.  That area did not smell good on such a hot day.
My daughter Karen is trying to get some goat feed. But the goats know that sound and where the food is so they will run you over. I had to laugh, Karen said the one had his face right in the shoot where the feed comes out. So funny.
This is a sculpture area. It once was a real slide...now it has things welded to it and this cute dino skeleton.

Sister Pam, me and daughter Karen. Just outside the butterfly area...you can see I am melting down. LOL
Sweet Savannah had caught a monarch butterfly.  I have not been seeing any monarch in our area here in Tipton. I hope others are seeing them.
In the little train riding around the park you get to see colorful animals. You know the young kids just love this.
This was just a couple of the animals.  I would love to go back when the temperature are much cooler.  There so much to see in this small park/zoo.
Hope all of you are staying cool. If you need something please call your family or neighbors...do not suffer...believe me people will help you. If you need a fan or water or ice.  If you know of an elderly person, check on them , please.  Take care . XO

  1. This looks like so much fun, Susie! Love the pics and had to laugh---it IS hard to post when you haven't been doing much. I try to take pictures everyday because then I'm spurred to remember the details of that day and then write.

It was terribly hot when we left Chicago on Saturday and was the same here in Asheville. It really doesn't get so hot (like 90???) here in the mountains so this was a fluke. Today was in the low 80's so we were quite happy.

    1. Blondie, Glad it cooled down some for you..especially on your trip south. I have been to the dentists this week...going today for a root canal. Scared to death. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  3. Susie, those wallabies are so cute. I just saw them recently at the Zoo. What a cute picture of you and the girls. That butterfly area must be so pretty. And I bet the kids enjoy that park area with all the colorful animals. A fun day at the Zoo!

    1. Thank you Sheri. I loved seeing the wallabies, they sure can jump fast. The keeper was going to fill the little pool for them to play in...it helps them stay cool. The butterflies have every wonderful plant, flower and sliced fruit even...but it is sad they do not live long. They can land on you, but you are not allowed to catch them.:) Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie

  4. Hi Susie,
I have never been to that zoo either! I didn't even know it was there.
I haven't seen any monarchs here, but I saw some in Kentucky over the weekend. Maybe soon.

    1. Cindy, You go every where...I can't believe you haven't been to that park/zoo. The zoo is totally free. It's call Columbia zoo. I think the health industry has a lot to do with it. You should go with your family some time...only please go when it's cool. :) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. We were just talking about going to the zoo. There's nothing like going every once in a while to see how the animals are doing. Your zoo looks great!

    1. Ann Marie, Pick a cool day to go..It was high 90's when we went the second time. The heat wore me out. LOL. I love seeing those little animals though. The care givers are a special bunch of young people. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  6. Zoo's are such fun, Susie. Those little animals in the petting zoos are so anxious for food that could hurt a little kid. Hope you can stay cool. It is expected to be in the 100's for the rest of the week here..Happy Wednesday..Judy

    1. Judy, You are right about the goats...one jumped at a young girls' back. I think they should put the feed vending machine(almost like a gum machine) on the other side of the fence. Then people could get the feed on the way in. Judy these really hot days make me think of being a kid and having a dirt ring necklace. LOL. and leathery dirty feet. I so old I have to have AC. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. BJ, You always make me laugh. I do not like three digit heat either. I am doing well to endure the 90's. LOL I am enjoying that little zoo...but if I go again it is going to be on a cooler day. Blessings to all there. xoxo, Susie.
p.s. I bet those little treats you made were three digit.

    1. Missy, LOL...yes, there really was a rooster carrying on but this was the group I photographed. I love the pretty colors of their feathers. That little zoo is making we want to go back again and again..but I will wait for a cool day. Can't take that heat. The baby goats born in June had little bumps on their head ...starting to get horns I heard little kids calling them Kitties. LOL. Blessings, xoxo, Susie
