The Polls Are Open.....

This is the way it looked  on Sunday afternoon. So pretty and nice too.
Everything is green . The skies were sunny with puffy white clouds. By evenings end, we were in the basement while a tornado warning was is effect. Thankfully there was no touch down. I did hear of wind shears in the next county. It's raining today. We are to go vote here soon.
I have to say, I really do not want to vote this year. But I will . I am not a dyed in the wool type for either party. I never believe one party can have all the right people. This year I am not in love with any of the leaders.  I pray for all of them.  I am praying for myself ....to make the best choices.
Hope all of you are doing well. I know that so many have had a rough week with flooding and storms. I ,myself ,am sick of our wet weather and will be glad when it has moved on.
Wishing all a better day. XO

  1. This is a big day for Indiana. I feel exactly as you do and have been wondering when I have to make a choice or not vote, what will I do. I feel for you all. Pray, like you say.

    1. Peggy, I actually prayed the whole time in the voting booth. I used to pick the lesser of two evil...now who knows who that would be? I am glad it's over till Nov. now. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Janet, We use to vote for the best man, then it was the lesser of two evils. Now I don't know who is truly who any more. But I vote so I can gripe. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  5. I am with you, Susie. I have no allegiance to either party. I vote the person rather than the party----but this year is a stumper! It will be interesting to see what happens. All I know is that we DO NEED a shakeup in DC! xo Diana

    1. Diana, I use to have to vote for the party that was in office when my husband worked for the city...no more. I vote for the one I like best..I just would have rather no voted at all this round. But I do so I can gripe about things. I feel that if a person doesn't vote , they have no right to whine at all. I would love to every seat filled with a different person...ones with brains. LOL. Bless you, xoxo, Susie
p.s. Sorry I thought Ria was Lulu..they are growing too fast . :(

  6. I agree Susie! I was raised in a staunch Democrat family but for the last many years, have voted for who I thought would lead our country the best. This year -?????????? We so need changes.

    1. Judy, Our congress used to be able to work things out for all of us...now they just fight all the time and no one gets any true representation. I hope every seat is flipped. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. Linda, Trump has hit some really touchy nails, of this country, right square on the heads....but he needs a course in charm school...no two ways about it. I knew LD had a Trump cap...but I thought he might of been wearing that to tweak people. LOL. I prayed the whole time I was voting. I knew who I was voting for but needed a nudge form God. LOL. It rained all morning.Thankful we did not have to stand ion the rian...we got right in the voting place and right back out. The sun is trying to shine now ...It's 3:20 PM. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  8. Hi Susie, I love your yard! I also love the comment above about Trump needing a charm school. It is so sad to see what type of leaders we are looking at. Hope you have a good afternoon.

    1. Noreen, I know that Mr. Trump has socialized with elite people...I just thought he'd be more refined. I certainly agree with him on keeping jobs here in America. We have to pray for God's help for our country. We got some sun this afternoon...I am loving it..we need it. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  9. You are so right...there isn't a good choice for President. Many of my friends agree that we just pray for each of them and that we make the best choice. My eyes will be watching the outcome of your election. Patty Mc

    1. Patty, I think I am fed up with all the mud slinging. I don't want to hear all the bad one guy did or will do...tell what you are going to do for our country, don't you agree? I am ready to rest for a few months..it's been stressful...that's why I have to pray. :):) Blessings, xoxo, Susie

    1. JP, I wish the candidates could not say anything about the others...just tell what they have to offer, themselves. We got sunshine this afternoon...I want about two weeks of it. LOL. Blessings, hope you are all well. xoxo, Susie

  11. The choices are awful and the ramifications are going to be monumental! I will vote, but it is very upsetting to vote for someone you can't believe in. Your place looks lovely.

    1. Nonnie, That was the tough part. I want to vote, but to choose from people who have been so nasty to one another...what a mess. We need people with scruples. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

  12. Susie, I often wonder how Ted gets that big area of lawn so green and groomed. It looks marvelous. He should get a blue ribbon for "the best looking lawn" hehehehe. Your front yard really is beautiful. Be careful of the storms, Susie.

    1. Sheri, We have a man come treat for the weeds and he fertilizers the grass. Then Ted mows it. He mows it in a different direction each time. That way the grass does stand up better. Mow at 3 inches also. He'll be happy about what you said though. LOL. Blessings, love, xoxo, Susie
