Buttons....

I bought some buttons in July at the Peddler's market. I put them in some old jars and wrapped the tops with brown paper. Tied it up with twine.
This is the big wooden button that Ted made me. I think it looks nice with my button jars. I have not sorted through these buttons yet....saving that for a fun thing to do this coming winter.:):) I think a few of these big buttons would look cute on someone's sewing room wall. That man of mine, is so clever. Hope everyone is having a great Sunday. xo

  10. Love anything buttons, specially Ted's big button. You are right, they would look good I think in any room. The paper is good with the jars too, good idea. And did you know that Joanne fabrics now has twine in the country colors. I bought some black and some blue, I found it in the floral section. Happy Sunday.

  11. Just what is it about a jar of old buttons that makes you smile? They make me happy and I have no idea why. Oh, I have seen those giant buttons online and the ones I saw were painted in the most amazing colors. Love the over sized version of them...and your hubby is so awesome for making you one.

  14. That button is great, Susie. I can't believe your husband made this, it's very artistic. My mom used to have a bunch of buttons that she would keep for sewing, and I used to browse through them when I was a little girl. How nice that you collect them too.

    Love,
