My Life Has Wings....

Here is Ted and Emma. Emma is wearing my clothes, it cracks me up. She will put on something of mine after she has her bath. It's not like when we were young and played dressed up, with our mother's clothes. I told her she looks like me, only shorter...well for now. Emma is growing taller. Her mother, my daughter, is tall and her father is very tall. So I think Emma will be a giant kid. She's about 9 1/2 years old now. I am trying to cling to these young years of her life. It seems so many of my other grandkids grew up and I missed it...I was there but I can't explain how it happened. I think it' s because Emma is the youngest of our grandchildren. I have 3 granddaughters that are engaged. They are in those long engagements. LOL
Well I have a dental appointment...got to get ready. Enjoy this great day. xo

  1. Enjoy every moment of that childhood, Susie. They grow up way too fast. How funny about her wearing your clothes but not playing "dress up". xo Diana

  3. How sweet! I know from my own kids how quickly the childhood years go by. I've got grandchildren to look forward to (I hope).

  6. You are having fun times. I try to do the same......soak up every minute. I have been having fun with my recently moved grandchildren. Wish they all were close by.....feel like I slight the ones that live away. Have fun.

  10. Here's hoping the dentist didn't find any unpleasant surprises! Our grandson is 9 1/2! We don't see him often. He and our granddaughter are two hours away.:-( xo Nellie

  12. I so get what you're saying. Except with me... I don't understand how my own children grew so quickly. I'm clinging to the last two and refuse to let go!!
    Good luck at the dentist!

  14. Hi Susie, They all grow up much to fast. My oldest grandson registered for high school. I will hate to see the week come to an end. I was lucky to spend a lot of time with him. I had all three of the boys last Thursday and Friday. Good luck with the dentist. Enjoy every minute you get to spend with the kids. Have a wonderful day. Hugs and Prayers from Your Missouri Friend.

  17. OMGosh! Have you been busy. Just getting caught up tonight on some blogs. We have amish 'towns' around here, too, with all the fun stuff and great food.
Love the scarf, and your photos.
Emma in your clothes makes me smile. Used to wear my grandma's clothes when I stayed there. We could wear the same tops, but her pant were too long and so were her feet. But that didn't stop me. ;) I am still waiting on grandkids here, but I do know that they sure grow up so fast and before you know it, they are bringing their kids back home.
Have a great week and love that walk and your yard...so pretty.
