Horton's French Flea Market......

   The French Market was going yesterday , and continues thru today.

  In the center of the outdoor booth spaces , sits a pretty water fountain surrounded by ferns.

  By the way these ferns are on sale. So hee-haw , here's my mule carrying the two we bought. Poor Ted said he felt like his arms were much longer after carrying these to the truck.

   There were flowers galore. Every color one would want.

  I did not even get to look at this group, but snapped a quick photo.

   Loved this garden flag stuck into this half barrel full of  an orange combination.

   This little suitcase was planted in ivies and flowers. I could do this myself , next year maybe.

   This is where they will make you up a bouquet of your choice. Mrs. Horton's mom usually is the florist . I did not see her yesterday, but it was getting very humid. Maybe she will be there today. It is cooler.

   Succulents in all kind of metal containers.  Love the looks of this with the tarnished silver tray, against the old wooden backdrop.

  Vining flowers , ferns and many purple petunias , in this part of the greenhouse. I'll show all I bought tomorrow.  I had to show all of you the prettiness of the plants and flowers at this year's French Flea Market.

Artisan's Market.....

   This is the weekend of the Artisan's Market. The farmer's market will be going on at the same time.  Last year many things were happening at the same weekend. I am not sure about this year's activities.

  These are shots of Horton's preparing for their event. I do not know why all the bales of whatever , unless it's to keep people from tripping over the curbs in those areas.

   I am getting ready to go up to this event. I will get pictures. But I am not getting any of that fudge, I just do not want those calories. LOL...we all know that fudge is so good.

  I like that the Horton's decorate these window boxes along the fenced area that is part of their outdoors display and booths.
   Please everyone, take a moment to send prayers or  good thoughts to the people of Dallas.   A tragedy has taken place there. We all need to know that   " all lives matter".   Be safe. XO

Loving Summertime.....

    The sun is shining this morning here in central Indiana. Not sure how long that will last, but in the mean time, I took some photos  around the yard.

 This is the back of the shop. We have a willow tree there I love for the weepy branches to hang down...but Ted has trimmed them away.

   The big blue hosta has flowered. This once was one hosta, now we have four, I spit it one year.

   This is the emerald green hosta.  It's growing bigger.

  No wind this morning, so the garden flags are hanging straight down.  I always can tell which direction the wind is blowing by watching the garden shed's flag.

  Just as all of you told me they would , my containers have filled in nicely .

  This one is almost too full. :):)  I still put those little solar lights in some of the pots.

  This one has two lights, cause one of them is a butterfly. The petunias look pink, but they are all red.

I am enjoying my summer, for the most part. The outings, the flowers, the pretty warm days.
 As you all know my son-in-law was sick thru the gathering on the 4th. He thought he had the flu, prime example of a man that won't go to the doctor. Tuesday morning, Angie insisted  he go to the dr. and he is now in the hospital with pneumonia.  He wishes he had gone sooner. He is headed in the right direction now. Thankfully.
  Summer is moving right along, so let's go outside when we can. Play with the kids ,or grandkids. Take walks and  bike rides. Live it up. Always be safe. XO

Family Fun On The 4th....

   Papaw Teddy, Max and I (nana). We loved our time with the family on the 4th. We had good food, some fun play time, and lots of conversation and hugs. Wonderful baby holding time too.

   Here's Emma  with Max, she's his young aunt(12). She says she is the favorite aunt. Max is 7 Months.

   Here she is with Layla.  Layla is now 17 months old. Walking and talking of course.

   This is Brock , Emma, and Lynzie.,brother and sisters.  Brock is father of Layla. Lynzie is mother of Max. So Emma is auntie to both babies.

     This is Skylar, Savannah (sitting), and Emma. These are the last of our grandkids still in school.

    This is Steve and Suzy. Steve is my baby brother. He keeps us all laughing.

    My sister Pam, me , Angie, and Liz....I am not sure who took this picture but they did not get all of Layla in it. Our 4th was a fun time with family and friends. Angie's husband Mark was very sick with the flu and never got out of bed. He has never been this sick. Angie had used sterile wipes all over the house , for her  gatherings.
   Today, I have a dentist appointment, time for cleaning and x-rays. Every 6 months. I hope all of you had a great holiday.  This week is off to a fast start.  Summertime !! XO

Rainy Sunday....

  Today it's raining fairly steady at that. Drove thru town to snap some photos. Not many people out today.

   This little grassy spot belongs to the fire department.

  Looks like  only one car parked on the street.

   The flowerbeds beside the courthouse. I love all the pretty flowers in these beds.

  They match the containers all around our little town.

  I went to Angie's, because Kathy was stopping by on her way home.  Here they are trying  poses that will not make them look like they  have double chins.(which they don't ) So I told them they looked like giraffes and then they couldn't stop laughing at themselves.

  I am showing a small Christmas ornament from the Lawrance family. They are glass blowers in Nashville Indiana.  Kathy took  Karen and Karen's daughter Savannah  to  Nashville and Bloomington Indiana. They had a couple days away. So Kathy picked up this ornament for me. It's an angel .:):)

  Then she gave me this sparkly scarf that she got me for mother's day . LOL. This is our first chance to see one another for some time.  It was so fun to be with my daughters. I love every moment I can spend with them.  Looking forward to tomorrow's holiday with the family.  Some of you have probably already celebrated . Hope it was fun. Be safe. Happy 4th of July.  XO

The Shop....

    This is some of Ted's woods. He has racks of it in the lean too.

  Drills and battery charging stations. You see my name on one , I have my own tools.

  Saw blades neatly stored.  Ted was so organized when he set the shop up...some times he's not a well organized as then. I have an issue with the dust. He has dust collectors and vacuums. But still could wipe things down.

  Racks of clamps...you truly need these when working with wood...or others things also. It's like helping hands.

  I do have a smidge of wall space , beside where I park my Jeep. This is my Nascar pictures.

   I got this little sign for 25 cents at a yard sale...I just added the apostrophe S , to make it Teddy Bear's. LOL

  This is close to how Ted and his brothers worked on cars.  So fitting. :):)

  Some of his cabinets "FULL" of stuff. He made the knobs from golf balls.  Here's another pile of wood.

  Yes, there's a rest room out there...this sign tells how to get to it.  LOL. We need one out there...but then it would have to be heated more in winter. We keep it just above freezing. So Ted comes in for breaks and brings some of his saw dust with him. Grrrr.   I tell him to use the air hose on himself before coming in but he doesn't always do that.
