Some Left-Overs.....

  Oh my little pny...so darn cute. If I owned this pony , I would walk him a round like a dog and all the other dogs would be so jealous....cause he is so cute. :):)

  Have you ever gotten up in the mornings and your hair is standing up. I call this chicken hair. I have it  many mornings. LOL

  I really thought these yellow petunias were very pretty.

  My hostas are in bloom around the base of this tulip poplar tree.

 In one of the garden pots. I had to plant in pots to try to have flowers where rabbits would not eat them. So many bunnies this year.
  Hope all of you are loving your summer days. We have had enough rain , but it keeps coming. Yesterday was horribly humid. I am ready for some pleasant porch sitting...it won't be in this heat.  Good wishes to all of you. XO

More Horton's & Stuff....

 Saturday's sunset. It was a nice day, and I did go back to Horton's for a good look around.

 I love how the setting sun shines in the pines out front.

 I  bought these things at Horton's. Some lavender for sachets. Two note books that could fit into a purse. One for me and one for my daughter Karen. We both were looking for a piece of paper to write something on , just recently. I also picked up the  junk girl  sign to remember the meeting with Kris of Junk Chic Cottage.

 I also bought an old map of Paris (replica). I liked the little details .

 Last but not least, I bought another potted petunia. I deadheaded it and gave it some miracle grow . I put it in the container  where I had greenery already growing .

 These are picture at Horton's. I liked the silk flowers in this old vintage umbrella. I thought it looked cute hanging along side  the gentleman hat .

 There was a theme of bicycles , at the French Market.

 I wanted to look under this table cloth at the table and never got to it.  Love these chairs with wreaths on the back.

Many sweet signs in the store.

 I like the shade of pink on this sign.

  This was Donna Jenkin's (Tinkerhouse Company) booth. It was outside.  She lost a lot of her things due to the storm and heavy rain late Friday afternoon.  On Saturday she was using a borrowed tent and set up a new . She's a trooper.

 This little patio table is sweet. I wish I had looked at the picture in the background.

  I laugh every time I see this big old kitchen range. It is used in displays. Looks is great shape, to be so old.

 Is this clever or what? Old bike rims mounted on the pallet fence. I think this could be cute on an outside building even. An old shed or barn.

 A bicycle covered in lace. Totally a girl thing. Priced at  $249.  I think this would be sweet in a garden area of white or pastel flowers.
   Another closing of a fun Horton's market ...but you can always go to Horton's and find things for your decorating needs. The next event will be the Fall Market, on September 23rd. Write this on your calendars.
   I truly enjoyed meeting Kris and seeing Donna again. I did not get to see Cindy , Bee Lady of Hilltop Farm. But I know she went on Friday and was there when the rains blew came.  It was a good weekend for me.  I am kind of resting from last weeks excitement.

French Market.....

 Today was the first day of the French Market at Horton's. Oh it started out a beautiful day too. Venders , inside and out.

This was the wall of straw and ferns along the sidewalk...how nice, I am sure it cut down on the wind later in the day.

 A cute metal container with many things inside. Mirrors mostly.

 This was an outside vender's wares. A bit of everything. :) I have to go back tomorrow and look some more.

 

  I loved the finish on this desk.

 Wow, wouldn't this hold about all your sewing or crafting items. You absolutely would have to label the drawers. LOL

 What a sweet little truck. Love the green  color.

 Lots of wind mill blades and big clocks that were  made from wire spools.

Inside, lots of these tiny boots around the store. Just loved them.

  There's my sign...junk girl...love to junk. These canisters are very nice.

 

This is a picture of  Donna of Tinkering and me. (she got me into blogging  in a round about way) Love this sweet lady. Is there a class in taking selfies that I could attend...gaa, I am the worst.

   Finally, finally...I got to met Kris of Junk Chic Cottage!!  She is as pretty and sweet as I thought she would be. It made my day meeting her.  She drove all the way from Chicago to Tipton. She brought along  a hometown  girlfriend . We did not get to spend a lot of time together...but maybe one day or next time. Kris and Sandy were going to lunch, and my daughter had an appointment so we could not stay longer. After I got home , the clouds rolled in and it rained a monsoon kind of rain....I prayed Kris made it back to Chicago safely. 
  It  was a great day with my daughter and meeting dear blog friends. I loved it. I will show more pictures tomorrow.  Hope your day was good. XO

Our Fourth ....

  The two stars of our family gathering. Max and Luke.. Max is one year  and eight months.  Luke is 2 months and 10 days. They are happy boys.

   Luke is smiling and trying to talk his baby talk. I love hearing him.

  Max wears his hat when he goes outside...that makes me happy that his parents think of this. But he doesn't get to be out too long, with his fair skin. :):)

 My daughter Karen's all time best friend Kris and Kris' husband Bob came by the picnic to see all of us and they brought their new baby Basset Hound. Max and Sophie got along well. Max is offering a drink from his sippy cup.  Too sweet.
  We had 30  at the picnic. Plenty of good food and fun.  So many old stories from our childhood, new stories of the younger ones.  My little brother Steve said I was taking better care of  my great grandson Luke, than I did him when he was a baby.  I said, "just because when I rocked you to sleep , I used real rocks, you want to complain. " LOL  I was the oldest daughter and he was the family baby and I had to carry him around all the time. :):) Thank goodness we all have a good sense of humor..

Fun Day .....

 Ted and I got up early, got some things done and went to Karen and Jeff's for a fun day at the zoo.

 This is Savannah and I on the little train that runs around part of the zoo/park.

 Jeff and Karen, they had their anniversary on Saturday.

  Papaw Teddy Bear came along also. The train ride is fun.

  Here's the train pulling into the depot right before we boarded.

 A young girl is the engineer.

 We rode past the swimming pool, that was over flowing with families.  It was a warm and pretty day.

 We rode past the huge pond and this was the coolest area of the whole park to me.

  Green giraffe. the statue animals are in crazy colors.

  Purple and gray tiger.

 We went to the Snakes Alive show. This is a rat snake if you wanted to touch it, no where near it's face...they gave you sanitizers to wash your hands.

 The girl in purple , Michelle, is holding a five foot boa named Oz. When the show was over she allowed us to touch it. , not near it's face. Then you had to sanitize again.  I asked where is Julius Squeezer the boa constrictor. ...the young lady said Julius had passed away unexpectedly. That was sad.

 We went thru the butterfly exhibit.

 I do not know all the names so I will just show them.

 They are so pretty, especially if they land on some pretty flowers.

 There was also little dishes of fruit for the butterflies, through out the tent.  It was a great day at the zoo. Then we went to lunch at O' Charley's. Ate way too much. It was delicious food.  I really loved  my time with the kids and our lunch. Came home totally wore out. LOL.
